    Hi.
The one that features wheeljack, soundwave & blaster (I think motormaster is in there too) is from last year.

The others are fairly new from early 2010.
    Thank for looking :)

These pieces are awesome. It's like you've taken fragments of my childhood and turned them into a kawaii-chibi mosaic. How did you paint them? Regardless, they're very well done. I especially like the one with the Soundwave and the PEZ dispenser.

Thanks everyone. I use many different techniques to get these results. in person these have lots of gritty texture and the background colors stand out more than you can see in the photos. I start with a colorful background of caked on then scratched up candy colors in sections and boxes which are then finished off with colorful connecting lines and dots. the backgrounds are kind of like a painting in their own right. Then I add my images and color them in. At this point I add lots of details with Decolor paint markers. Then I do the outline in black and add thick black lines connecting the images that extend to the sides which are finished with colorful designs. This style is completely 100% my own. I use my own set of repeat images, Happy Bear, X-Ray Gulliver Scan, Penny Candy etc. along with images of things I enjoy such as Transformers, The Simpsons, Star Wars, He-Man, Kiddie Cereal, Cartoons, Movies, Toys, Candy etc. These paintings are meant to be lighthearted, funny & fun.. no deep political meaning or depiction of a struggle in a far off land. No heavy brow of a sullen old man or stark solemn stencil of Obama.. just silly fun and hopefully a good chuckle from those who see it. if anyone is local I'm showing these @ the Greenpoint Gallery Friday night.
