I wanted to query all of the guys with experience as to what their suggestions would be for the following:

    1) How do you safely remove acrylic paint from figures without damaging their original paint job?

2)Are the economy airbrush starter kits offered by Testors any good? I can't afford a compressor right now.

Alcohol, and yes if you're just using it to lay solid coats. No fancy work like details though. That's where I started.

Alcohol would not remove the acrylic paint; in fact it only faded the factory paint that was on the figure.

o_O ... ^ what he said, bc 90% rubbing isopropyl alcohol takes factory paint off fairly quick with a bit of elbow grease added into it.
