Has anyone in here ever tried to remove those red flames that come on the KO Binaltech Black Sideswipe (jeez did I say tracks before WTF) seen here

Cuz I just won one on ebay and want to know if using alcohol will stripe the flames off, but not the black paint

Please help if you have had experience with these knock offs before

I've got that one. He is metal so the black is paint & will probably go with the flames. They dont look that bad on him anyway

This is where nail polish remover is your friend, on painted die-cast metal.
I used to remove those silly/ugly graphics on HotWheels cars all the time w/nail polish remover, never had a problem w/the base coat.
It will only remove the flames - or tampo as its called.
Wait 'n see what SQ7 says though....

    P.S.
    That's not Tracks !....:stick: ......That's Sideswipe/Lambor....

Hehe, I'm the guy to ask huh? Hehe *blushes*

pk's right though, I do have all of the variant KOs. You guys will be seeing them here soon too /*spoiler alert :)

I agree with JL here. I like them too and used them to my advantage /2nd spoiler alert

I used to use nail polish remover, but it can be harsh oh plastic since it has acetone. I never had any negative results using it, other than a fogging on plastic (but they were on parts I painted over anyways). I've never tried it on painted diecast though.

If it serves for anything, the Viper was actually originally designed for Tracks before Takara could secure the license to use the Vette from Chevrolet. :)

. . . but this was, of course, koed from Lambor . . . :lol

. . . anyways, Lucs, best wishes for whatever you're gonna do with this guy. If you're gonna toss that box, give me a holler :thumb

I find the deco on each of the MTs fun in their own light I suppose. *shrugs*

That wouldn't be the first thing I'm in the minority in :lol

Hey the box is yours. I have a White KO Hound you can have too. Just PM me

Oh and thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll wait to see how he looks in person before I decide what to do with him.

If anyone has ever done the paint removal on these KO's let me know how it went
