Does anyone know what mix of paint I would need to achieve a look remenicent of Robocop. Would silver painted over with clear blue do this?

For best results with just about any silver paint I have ever used, it must be done over black.

Well, the figure is already silver, so I wonder if putting a coat of clear blue paint over it would give that blue steel look.

go to a hobby shop they have all different types of steel, metal colors even a buffing metalizer which will look real. but if youre broke probabaly because of the release of cybertron like me. try putting on a couple of coats of glosscoat from the dollarstore. for youre mix try a dash off dark green or blue

You could try very lightly dry brushing some light blue over it. Just be prepared to clean it off fast if it does not look like it is working.
