Customs: Paint primers, what and why?

    nice tip, but I assume you masked those areas because you're using an airbrush, right? I haven't got to the part where buying an airbrush set is considered financially wise. So I'm going to stick to using brush and paint (I'm an artist, I have those lying around). I'll try studying more about primers, flat / gloss coating, etc. Once I'm ready, I'll give it a try, and if the result is satisfactory, I'll buy them airbrush set. But thanks anyway.

    Actually i don't have an airbrush set. I used Tamiya spraypaints. But masking works for painting with brush as well, i don't see why it would only work for airbrushing :D
