    Hi all,

The cardboard inside the cap to my Testors Flat Black acrylic has shredded, making a giant mess every time I go to open it. For the moment, it still has a nice seal. I don't think that will last. At any rate, anyone got a good suggestion for a replacement cap or a surrogate paint storage idea? Thanks!

I think I'd simply recommend cleaning the caps with alcohol before sealing them back up. I've been trying to practice this myself the last few times I've used my paints.

i hate the cardboard caps. I usually rip them out with an x-acto blade, so I am left with just the metal cap. for pesky gummed up caps, dunk the entire bottle (with cap on) upside into a little lacquer thinner. The lacquer thinner will find it's way into the cap's threads and free up all the dried paint. make sure to do this over a towel.

    Both good suggestions. Thanks!
