Wish I could be excited, but the cartoon is just terrible.

See, this is nostalgia to me. Pac Man is a bad cartoon that is fun to watch only because you saw it as a kid. Hell, I've been waiting eagerly for this since it was announced over a year ago. Can't wait.

I also have to get around to getting the second half of SilverHawks while I am at it. :D

I grew up with the cartoon as well. Which made it all the more painful when I watched it again a few years ago and realized how poorly made it was.

Then it's best I not watch: Pac Man--along with all the other 80s-video-game-based cartoons--were part of my early childhood.

It's not as bad as the amazing Rubix cube though.

    Might buy.

    What, no Blu-ray?

If i'm going to watch crap, I need it in HD.

But seriously, I was telling my wife, who is 10 years younger than me about some of these video game spin off cartoons like this, Donkey Kong, Pole Position, Q-bert, Dragons Lair, etc... Big part of my childhood cartoon memories. And those cereals they had. Now there was some sugary goodness.

That wasn't based off the game, the animation company that made the show had to get royalty rights from namco to use the name.

I think its a little more than a coincidence that during the height of all the video game cartoons of the time, this company just happened to want to name the cartoon "Pole Position". Im sure they were trying to capitalize on the trend.

My huge since of nostalgia is not enough to move me to buy it. If it comes on TV fine. Spend money on it? Nope.

I remember that cartoon, along with Frogger and Donkey Kong on Saturday mornings back in the early 80's.

While the (majority) of todays cartoons are crap, and the past ones were great and all, cash in cartoons like this are easily forgettable.
