YouTube - Owl City - Deer In The Headlights‏
Came for huey lewis cover, left disappointed.
Aernaroth's avatar makes me think he's a closet Owl City fan.
Fuuuuuuck, really? Is nothing sacred anymore?
"Kakapo City - All Things Flightless and Beautiful"
Song was bad, as was the delorean replica. So not screen accurate.
What the fuck is this shit?
Fucking kids today.
DeLorean wasn't bad, could have been better. You can clearly see the wires hanging off over the front wheel well near the end. Also very, very bad flux capacitor. There are better replicas available on the open market; why go to all that trouble and then have a crappy fc? The other parts looked okay from what I could tell, but overall meh.
Although if I had a band and access to a lot more money, I'd put the BTTF DeLorean in my video too. In fact, I would make it a part of my daily life.
Ugh. I'm sick of this douche. Every girl I know owns an Owl City t-shirt. The music is just pure, "uncool hipster" dreck.
Like Hiraga said. Nothing is sacred these days.
That's my friend Paul's DeLorean. It was put together from hundreds of photos of the original ones from the backlot at Universal. His agent is the guy who built the hero cars from the first movie.
This was us last Christmas doing a Toys for Tots benefit for the LAPD.
I'll admit.... I kind of like Owl City. Just the older stuff though. That video (and the entire album it was on) I don't like at all.
Yeah, it's pop music, and yeah it's almost completely computerized, but we all listen to stuff like that sometimes, right?
That's kind of Awesome!
the t-rex shuold have ate him.
Was the pictures that he used from within the last 8 years? Cause if so, they are horribly inaccurate now, meaning your friend's Delorean is, the main detail that I can see that needs to be fixed is how high the Mr Fusion sits up.
I know a few people out in Hollywood, and the Deloreans weren't taken care of that great and when they were restored about 8 years ago, they didn't bother restoring them back to 100%.
Hell, Universal here in FL just got around to restoring their Part 3 Delorean, it's only taken them 22 years to do it and even then, the rear instruments on the back of the car are now inaccurate. They cut the bottom's off of the boosters/vents so they wouldn't cover the tail/brakelights.
But anyways, the replica is nice, I just would hate to know that he used pics of the Deloreans from within the last 8 years as his reference, knowing that they aren't accurate on certain details anymore.
That actually seems about right, I don't know when the pics were taken. But, as a concession to all of us Star Cars guys, the casual fan really can't spot the differences. They get a kick out of seeing us at events. Our group leader told Paul to chill out on it for that very reason. He'd go broke trying to get every detail 100% accurate. The one thing he was referring to was the LEDs behind the driver seat, his light up from side to side where the movie version goes up and down.
We all know our discrepancies. Like my BB - I know that GM's Rally Yellow is not screen accurate, but I don't have a spare $15K to get the accurate Valspar Automotive PBC30 Sunrise Yellow paint job. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19888
Gotcha. I can totally understand where you are coming from too man, the Delorean is an expensive cookie to build.
I was just wondering when the pics were taken that he used is all, because of them doing a shitty job of restoring it, is all.
