I think the only Halloween things i'm not sold on are the new victory poses. I just don't like the gimmick.

 

She got a summer skin so I guess that's why.

Having the time exclusive skins at a higher price seems like a fair compromise for actually being able to buy them.

Need to get back on myself and save up/try and get the Mercy Witch skin, tis' a thing of beauty.

So I ended up buying 50 crates, because Halloween is my jam, and I made out pretty well. I have all of the skins except for Bastion, Pharah, Junkrat, and Roadhog's and I even got Mei's Highlight intro (which is adorable).

I'll see if I can get the last skins by the time the event's over.

 

I think the Mercy skin is the most expensive one? Blizzard knows...

Love the new mode, it's basically tailor made for McCree! Getting most of the bosses in the final wave with one High Noon~

No, all the Legendaries (Reaper, Junkrat, Roadhog, Mercy) are 3k. The rest are only Epic level, and cost 750 (Soldier 76, Ana, Zenyatta, Symmetra, Reinhardt, Pharah, Hanzo)

Got lucky and found the Origins Collector's Badge/Pin for $5 at Target. It's gorgeous and you can't get it for under $20 online so it's a real treasure for me.

 

So far the only themed loot I've had is the widow maker victory pose in the grave thing.

Granted I think it's the funniest thing in there, but still.

 

I like the D.Va one the best, especially since there are Doritos on the back.

 

My sister just started playing and is level 6, and she already has the Reaper skin.

 

All I've been getting is sprays and player icons. Seen Witch Mercy in action and damn that skin is awesome. Tempted to spend $20 to try and get it even though I barely player as her.

 

I finally have the chance to play this after being in basic all summer.

I find myself calling bullshit a lot with some things, the one hit kills by various characters, the range of Dvas ult, the fact of my blast damage is about the size of a apple when the same character for someone else has the damage area of a small bus.

 

A bit disappointed that the Halloween Horde mode only gives you the choice between 4 characters. Then again, the game would be pretty broken if you had Torbjorn, D.Va, Mercy, and Mei on the team.

Also wondering when Mei gets an alt costume. I'm going to have to guess when they do a Christmas update. She's probably going to be dressed as Mrs. Claus or something.  

 

As you keep playing, the one hit kills get easier to predict and really easy to avoid (Mcree, Hanzo, and DVa's ults in particular) to the point that players no longer try to use them to get kills but instead use them to scare enemies away from the objective. Some others are skill based, like Genji and Tracer ults, and more often than not you'll go against players who aren't as good

Yeah, that too. Good thing the horde mode doesn't allow for multi-picks. Still, just one Bastion would break the game as hard as the ones I mentioned.

 

I think if they were going to make a dedicated horde mode, they'd probably add more mob types that break up hero compositions more. Like say, napalm grenadiers that punish Bastions for sitting in one place, etc. For a relatively quick throw-together proof-of-concept that is this brawl, though, they just went the easy route and restricted it to characters who can't dominate a lane in the way that Bastion or even Reinhardt can.

 

Very true. Hopefully, with the warm reception this has been getting, Blizzard will make a permanent horde mode that has aspects you suggested. That would be awesome.

 

Struggling to think of OHK outside of Widowmaker and Hanzo...what else is a OHK? You can hide behind literally anything to block D.Va's ult. Like, stand behind a lamp post and you're fine.

 

as it stands currently, a nanaboosted zenyatta can 1 shot a discorded target, assuming they're not a tank or Bastion.
