Overt/Subtle references to non TF movies.

    Ebay:
    - Alice= terminator 3 (no way she was a pretender, as pretenders have a removable shell. Alice TRANSFORMED into a human).

    - Finding the Tomb of Primes part: Indiana Jones (they even have the same actor doing the 'deyphering cryptic messages' thing)

    - The Fallen's look and the overall "egyptian alien" motif plus the sun harvester's design - Star Gate, 12th element

    - "Reedman": Stargate's Replicators

    - The KitchenCons = Gremlins

    - The Fallen's telekinetic abilities and his relation to Megatron: Star Wars (jedi powers, Darth Vader and The Emperor)


    And of course, the stupid human character jokes : American Pie and all the other stupid comedy movies of the same genre

    A lot of this movie's ideas came to Orci and Kurtzmann by them sitting down and watching other Sci-Fi films, I bet. "Hey let's make the Fallen Egyptian-looking, people dug that in Star Gate and even in 12th element!"

    Originality is out of the window.

    i thnk kill bill was an homage to bumblebee i mean he did come first.

    she is dressed yellow on the bike and that sequence was called flight of the bumblbee lol

    watch masterforce. no removable shells there. we were even told by the writers that there's a "pretender", werent we?

    This had BETTER be an awful, awful joke.

    not from the 2007 movie, but the otherway around, in dragonball evolution, when bulma uses a capsule to create a vehicle, the transforming sound is heard :)

    I think there was a reference of cloverfield (With the page from the CF manga, and the poster on the wall)

    - Hero says they've gone through their journey for a predetermined "purpose".
    - Hero tells his doubtful love interest that he is sure "things will work because he believes it".
    - Hero dies and is revived to kick ass in the last minute, by his love interest telling him he loves him, which she hadn't said until that point.

    Do I have to say what movie these are from?

    If it doesn't ring a bell, think of another movie with jeopardized hives of hatchlings.

    EDIT: Forgot to mention the good guy being immobilized to get an organic-looking robotic shrimp-like probe inserted into him.
