In the 07 movie, there was the slap you in the face Kill Bill Reference (which now has me seeing BB dressed as Bruce Lee every time I see him!)

BB also uses some excerpts of Tom Hanks from "Apollo 13", Star Trek, John Wayne.

IronHide does his Dirty harry impression.

Did anyone notice any other overt or subtle references to any other film series?

When Uma is in her yellow and black striped Bruce Lee suit, they play the same Tomoyasu Hotei track as she enters the car tunnel as they play when BB drives down a car tunnel in his new yellow and black striped form.

    Pretty darn explicit to me.

yeah I noticed that music was from kill bill.

course, I've heard that same piece of music in lots of things. I think it's a pretty big stretch to think BB's color scheme is a Kill Bill reference.

Especially since Bumblebees color scheme is 25 years old.

What does the age of his colour scheme have to do with anything? It's not like they wrote the script 25 years ago.

And it's not really a huge stretch of the imagination to think that someone on the post-production team chose that music as a nod to Kill BIll. The musical cue was used to introduce The Bride in her new Yellow/black suit and was used to introduce BB when he appears in his "new" yellow/black scheme.

There was that reference to Armageddon made by that fat kid running towards where Ratchet landed.

I haven't seen Kill Bill (I can't look at Uma Thurman's face for two hours) so I didn't notice it, but the way you describe it, it doesn't sound totally implausible. Kill Bill has been pretty influential.

they figured they had a yellow car, and to just run with it. yes, that was a kill bill reference. painfully obvious. not the coloration, but the music playing with his arrival.

Nyahah. I forgot about that "Armageddon" reference. Very self-serving though it was. Actually, I don't know many directors who would be low enough to actually have his characters say that the movie the audience is watching is better than the director's previous effort.

Forgot about the Bad Boys poster. He really likes to sell himself, doesn't he. Might as well call him Michael E-Bay.

The Alice thing was subtle but very Termanatrix. A little too much for my liking.

I think we can firmly say that she was a PRETENDER with no intention on referencing Terminator.

But that music wasn't used to introduce the bride it was used to introduce her enemies. The bride comes out in the yellow suit on the bike to the green hornets theme. If anything it's bay being unoriginal not homaging things. Whatever, People see what they want.

Yeah I know, the music starts in when Lucy Lui is walking down the hall with her goons, but I didn't want to argue the point. Like you said, people see what they want to see.

Well, I worded my post like an idiot, Sorry. I think they had more of an intention on referencing Transformers than they did Terminator.

People see a similar design between Alice and the T-whatever from T3. They are both Hot chicks with similar hidden robot bodies. Also the whole posing as a human to hunt down another human thing. Though it wasn't the creators intention it is very terminatorish. I wouldn't call it an homage or reference just coincidence.

Besides I still say Alice was more Predacon then Pretender
