Wait...if now the arms stay in the front, then that could mean that the hands need to collapse or retract, there's a chance of an accurate way to hold the swords.

I'm thinking it's more of the arms extend from the elbow to accommodate the alt mode.

OOOOHHHHH, I get what you mean now.

    Incredibly well said!

I know I am possibly going to get some flak for this, but all the mods and added accurate kibble makes Black Apple's version look chunky like the RotF mold.
MPM-04 may be less accurate with kibble, but to me evokes the feeling that Prime has onscreen. With the less non-accutate kibble, he looks slimmer and more athletic because the lack of kibble makes his truck parts seem more proportionate to his bot mode. With BA's additions, it really shows how big the truck parts are in comparison too his bot mode.
He still looks amazing, and it's impressive to make a more accurate transforming Prime from the MPM-04 mold, but that is just my :2c: .

As for me I might end up buying LT-02 and this only to see which one get the spot on my desk.

Like how MPM-04 surpassing ROTF Leader.

Will wait to see what the final product looks like, but really liking this so far. I’m assuming it’ll be several months before we really see something finished.

This, the inevitable upscaled/improved Leader Blackout, and Takara’s new MP G1 Convoy are going to eat my robot budget this year I reckon..

Wow, that looks so much better when it’s painted, great work.

Also, I kind of take back what I said about him looking too fat from the front. When painted it doesn’t look that way anymore, so perhaps it was just a visual thing. Like it’s still a tad bulkier than I’d like but whatever. As long as the joints are solid and it’s stable this’ll be one hell of a figure

What a swood guy, who knows, my definitive Optimus Prime might not even join the rest of the main collection and instead rest at my bedside with the other series and memorabilia that doesn't scale with each other lol

    I'll be watching this

    Those gas tanks, YUCK!.

If you were tired of butterfly Prime, now be prepared for Backimus Prime.

Yeah, those gas tanks really are the only thing that stick out honestly. If they could just be moved up to be just below the armpit that would look a little better.

This is still a huge improvement to the original MPM-04 in my opinion though and the only thing that will sway me at this point is the paint job and the price. If it's more affordable than a 4Ever DOTM Prime (which I'm sure it will be) I'll probably bite.

    They definitely cannot move.

Actually, if they move, it will be otherwise, to go outside and look even worse.

Everything it's "fixed" on the back, the rear wheels' covers are with each other.

I see what you mean. I didn't realize they were all attached like that. It's not a big deal. We Seth and you were saying, there's no pleasing everybody.

The tanks were a minor nitpick of mine and I realize that it's not easy to move them, I would just prefer it in a "perfect" world. :p

Yeah, honestly they'll never manange to get this design perfect in toy form.

Dinobot looks worse in both modes and i'm still shaking my hips for it, heh.

I'm fine with this as it is.
