If you read the thread, there are many people who are not thrilled with it being oversized. That's where I got my information from. I'm one of them. There are some who want it to be the same size as MPM04.

Those that have been following along with the thread know that this is BA's oversized version of MPM4 with modifications. Some of those same people are saying they don't want it oversized, but still want the BA improvements.

Yeah, I don't mind it being a little bigger so it looks better with the mpm cars, but I don't want it so big out doesn't scale with them...

This may come under the heading of Bleeding obvious - but what possible use is a 1-1 Knock off of Studio Series Blackout ?
Doesn't it make more sense for him to be at least a bit bigger (even with the revisionistic nonsense Paramount invented that means we all have to pretend many of the robots are shorter than they actually were in 2007 for some odd reason or that Grindor is taller than Blackout - for some unjustifiable reasons).

If you want a 1-1 Blackout then you just buy blackout surely - and if there is parts of it you don't like then just wait for someone to make replacement parts.

Wei Jiang has their own Movie Plus scale and this should logically be scaled to that and not to Hasbro's slightly chincy Studio Series.

There is likely an argument to make one 1-1 if it comes with significant improvements or it's in another colour (as Grindor) or even if they just add some metal or some improved joints- but there is just as much of an argument for a slight Upscale (Like Black Mamba did with Voyager Optimus) or something much larger like Ares Nitrogen (Nitro Zeus), M-01 Commander "Evasion" Optimus Prime & Rendsora.

Take the recent spate of Brawl KO's I like them they are a bit of fun - cheap enough to buy on a whim - but I also look at them and would be VERY happy to have ones with 4 fingered hands (including the thumb) and be bigger too.

I still like that 2007 Scale we started with so all these tidly (barely bigger than an Ultra) class Leaders are not so much my thing - so yeah Blackout as big as you like - just stop before the rotors are so large he can't fit through doors.

 

Has anyone mentioned wanting a 1:1 KO of Blackout? I don't recall seeing that.

Personally The smallest I'd like to see would be the same Height as Ares Nitrogen (OSKO Nitro Zeus) or no more than a head taller than Rendsora.

But there are a number of other factors to consider like how big is the overscale Brawl (about M-01 Commander size so I understand) and I'd like Blackout to not be smaller than OSKO Brawl. Also if/when someone makes a Bonecrusher - I'd like for there to be somewhere to go.


The only problem is that when people get around to Constructicons - things are going to get a bit silly (fun) but silly.

There's that plain OS mpm I've been seeing around. See no reason to get it though. I'm thinking I'll get the apple for standalone and the lt02 for the new tronwarrior/ironwarrior jet power upgrade.

I'd only be tempted to get the bucket set for the hooks if I end up getting the OS ss Blackout, but I'd rather decorate an LT01 with the pic below, so I'll keep an eye out for SS prime hooks, but I already have him wearing FWI-6, and he wears it better than the evasion it was designed for.
