Too bad the price is a little on the high side. It's easy to see why these oversized guys are so sought after though.

One day I will have one of these giant Gestalts, just not today. It's really the scale which you imagined when you were a child compared to the other G1 figures. Imagine that badboy facing off against Fort Max! There can only be one winner!

Now I want a Metroplex to this scale, where scamper is the size of G1 jazz <dreams>

Bugger, Bugger, Bugger, I had the cash for this two days ago, but have bought other TF items in the meantime. Here's some more info on it:

    http://www.geocities.com/scrambledcity/skorbia/skorbydestrong.html

It's the Sonokong G1 that I REALLY want (don't we all though?) So far I've only got the four limbs from another KO set, scale is sweet though.

    Like this one?:

EDIT: I've just checked the bank and my mobile bill has been taken twice, so if I can recover the cash, I'll have £140/$280 I didn't think I had! I've emailed the seller as he doesn't ship internationally, fingers crossed for me! I've got a back-up plan involving a US buyer shipping it to me, but that'll increase the shipping/overall cost.

What do you think a fair offer for this is?

I agree. The oversized G1 Bruticuses are so much better quality than the oversized G2 Bruticus. (They weren't made by Sonokong, though, AFAIK.) I wish I had hung onto one instead of selling the two or so I had.

the seller is a member on the boards, you can find him now in the sale section, his name makes it obvious =D

and yeah, these korean bruticus's get tricky.

the original "destrong combat robot" was not made by sonokong, the company has a different logo (a white "N" shape on red and blue squares) and reads something like: jah ngin koa onguha.....they released them in the giftset, individual packs, AND as build it yourself super high quality model kits with screws and springs. this original release had "flat" gray plastic for the bruticus components.

"dony yang" also released these a few years back with "trans formers" and "former trans" on the packaging, these were the ones sold by "gen1autobot" on ebay and by twokingmick here, they had chromed bruticus parts, slightly different shades of plastic, and new stickers. these came in individual packs.

finally for this scale korean bruticus there is also a super-rare "battle gaea" version in white and blue with really weird and messed up colors. a korean giftset version turned up on ebay germany.

this g2 version is bigger and was also semi-recently "bootlegged" in china in at least 3 different color variants. the strange thing about the korean g2 version is the box says it was "made in china", something i've never seen on any other korean bootleg.

Probably the same company did the Chinese release of the G2 version as did the Korean release of it. Same quality, same molds, both made in China. So the Chinese version isn't a bootleg of a bootleg, it's just a later release of the same bootleg.

I know who the seller is now, I share a love of his name!

You are quite correct as ever Sir   On checking, it was indeed the Dongyang one I was thinking of, now though I can't remember who Sonokong are/were? :banghead:

It's that one I (and everyone else) REALLY want, one day man, one day!

Update: Got my double mobile bill refunded, and have spoken to the seller.

I'm only around the computer for an hour and a half, then I'm away for 8/9 hours, this is my least favourite part of the net's international nature! Hoping someone else doesn't pick him up in the meantime. Everyone cross everything for me!

Yeah, the G1 oversize is so much more awesome than the G2 one.

Isn't the oversized Defensor KO that a member customized very well a few months ago even larger?
