So Apocalypse Planet was dropped from Cybertron? Damn! That sounds pretty cool.

I grew up with G1. I was collecting Gobots & waiting for the first Transformers toys to hit stores. But Cybertron is my favorite.

Glad you like! The print looks to have turned out great.

I'm not dead, just Holiday busy followed by a nasty flu I'm still fighting through. New projects and reopened commissions to come.

Glad to know you aren’t dead! I was kinda getting a little worried about you.

You wouldn’t happen to know if either your 4mm or 5mm Titan Head adaptors work on the Air Raid mold, do you?

4mm works. Used it for my darkwing to g2 smokescreen conversion. Ball joint is the same.

You better be right about this! Otherwise, Leader-1 is going to lose his head!

If you were to perhaps cross a gentleman's palm with silver, he could be most amenable! ;)

Here's my proof that it worked for me. Also when I was doing the work I did happen to try air raids head on darkwing. Customized my air raid into skyjack and used a head from a different designer.

That would be for a key from scratch. Just moding the Jungle Key with the Predacon Symbol would be $20. DM if interested.

Trying to my smirking Rodimus faceplate, but the detail is really shallow, specifically I lost the mouth after a watered down thin coat of white was put on the face. Messing around with carving deeper with an exacto knife...hope I don't ruin it.

I wish it were 20 years from now and Shapeways printed perfect, crisp details! We'll see how this one comes out when I am done.

Well, turns out I printed in the default plastic. I thought that was the recommended plastic, but I guess not now that I read down again.

Not sure how much better "smoothest fine detail" will be. I thought there was some kind of miracle black plastic that was really crisp with details, but I don't see that option.

The clear plastics work pretty good for heads and faceplates. They cost a little more, but keep the details much better.
The BHDA (black miracle plastic) was discontinued. It really was the best, though also the costliest.

You definitely want faces in the smoothest finest detail plastic possible, yeah. Just keep in mind that material is relatively fragile, so handle it with a little more care than the rough stuff.

I'm working on conversion parts for customizing the modern/retro 5.5" figures and Mega Construx heroes into characters from the classic 1980s MOTU knock-off line Galaxy Warriors/Fighters. Above is my preliminary digital sculpt for Sahak, the cobra-man from the first wave.

I'm in the process of testing neck-joints, but to get a start on 3d printable Galaxy Warriors/Fighters stuff, I've made some weapons, starting with Mega Construx compatible versions:

    [IMG][IMG]

The base four-weapon set and a set of the "Sticker" shields, reinterpreted to be embossed detail. The plan is to produce replacement parts that can be used to convert MOTU Mega Construx Heroes into Galaxy Warriors/Fighters characters.

All the Galaxy Fighters/Warriors stuff is available here.

And for larger figures, we have the original accessories reproduced for 5.5"6" figures with a 4mm grips, modified for 5mm grips, and scaled to 4" figures with a 3mm grip (such as HACKS).
