Is there a way to work around it & make it so the faces don't have to be screwed & can be glued instead? A screw hole got stripped on one of my titan masters so I had to glue it on. Can you make the ring & screw hole 1 solid peg to be glued?
It might work... which character would you want to use as a trial?
Let me think about it & I'll get back to you. I'll look through them all.
I would like to make a custom GI Joe B.A.T. Not really sure which TF mold or face to use. I was originally going to use TLK Nitro but I picked up a couple extras on clearance to make Starscream, Skywarp & Thundercracker instead. The Morbot face looks the closest to a BAT except for the thingy on the top of his head. Decepticon Brute is another possibility.
Shiny silver would work for Cobra Commander. I might go with that one but I really want a B.A.T. (my favorite GI Joe figure/character).
I dunno, I'll figure something out & let you know. Won't be for another 2 weeks when I get paid again. I just blew too much money on Blast Off & Repugnus x2 from Amazon.
mentioned this in the potp thread already but it also kind of applies to titans return. id love a onyx prime symbol plate that could be used on sawback, that way i wouldnt have to buy predaking just for the primemaster
Prime Master plates based on Cyber Planet Keys?
Finally got one of those cheap Overlords and figured I should give him his proper Powermasters but I noticed the Mega engine would be upside-down compared to the G1 toy. Any chance I can get a quick flip and what's the current best plastic to use for these since they last changed/renamed them all?
Versatile is the standard strong and flexible stuff. Not sure on the other names
One of those who what now?
there was a great deal of overlords that went on clearance over the holidays, even HST had a few around 20
Ollie's had tons of him for $20.
Oooh! I was thinking silver but Blackarachnia in gold would kick ass!
But what mold would work for Blackarachnia??? Windblade? I might do that. Sounds pretty cool.
Gah! I just realized that -- as far as I can tell -- nobody has done Mega and Giga FACES for Titanmasters.
I'd really like to replicate Takara-Tomy's Legends LG-60 Overlord gimmick (without paying the hefty price tag for LG-60).
I seriously dig the idea of Overlord being Headmaster with an "Overlord Mega" mode and an "Overlord Giga" mode. That's too clever!
Requesting a Rumbler and Sprocket head, possibly Powerflash but I'm not entirely sure what would make a good body for him.
TR Blurr for Rumbler and Sprocket?
mayyybe Triggerhappy could work for Powerflash, though Octane might be a better match for the alt mode.
The canceled botcon Sprocket used triggerhappy, and allegedly the custom class was meant to make rumbler using an unpainted triggerhappy. But ya when I heard about this at first my original thought was they were going to use Blurr, I think that may of been the case but they realized the number of repaints for him got out of hand.
Getting warmed back up with some commissions. Which brings us to... more Diaclone Drivers!
I currently have eight torsos and four limb sets available to print actual metal-torso Diaclone Drivers. Here's some prints of my first designs:
(To clarify, the above Waruder Kuwagatrer pilot is an original. My modified design differs in a few details to keep it from being mistaken for the real deal)
Waruder Kuwagatrer pilot
Micronaut Pharoid (With and Without Helmet)
Warantros, a new Waruder-Style Ant Soldier
Diadroid, robot trooper
Annubros, Dog-Headed Warrior
All of the Diaclone Drivers are available here.
Any chance of a G1 toy Perceptor face for TR Perceptor?
So folks, what's the deal now with "Smooth Fine Detailed Plastic" versus "SmoothEST Fine Detailed Plastic"? Is the extra cost worth it?
I mean, I HATE how grainy "Natural Versatile Plastic" is, I can't bear to use it for Titanmaster faces. Back when High-Detail Acrylate was an option, I adored that choice.
What do I do now?
Smooth Fine is the old Frosted Ultra Detail (FUD) and Smoothest Fine is the old Frosted Extreme Detail (FED). I've never gotten anything in FED/Smoothest, so i don't know if it is worth it or not. I have gotten several items in FUD/Smooth and they were good quality, not quite BHDA quality but close.
