This is my first repaint. Ever since I started collecting the Alternators figures, I wanted some Mini-bots to go with them. I was inspired when I saw ckhtiger had repainted some Cybertron and Unizerse figures to resemble some of the Mini-bots. This is a repaint of the Bushguard into Outback. I also would like to know, if anyone has ideas, on which molds out there would make for more Mini-bots.

Nice color scheme man :thumb  If you plan to make more minibots, try looking into scout sized TF's form the cybertron, energon, and movie line.

Not so clean with the paint application around the windows but overall good for a first repaint.

    Some other minibot potential:
Cybertron Armorhide- Huffer (like the botcon exclusive), Pipes
    Cybertron Shortround - Seaspray
    Cybertron Brakedown- Wheelie
    Cybertron Swerve - Windcharger
    Cybertron Hardtop - Beachcomber
    Energon Strongarm - Brawn
    Energon Skyshadow- Powerglide

when I saw this I was like "hey hey hey" but then I saw you mentioned me ;)  ooh, that looks nice, and you even left in the chest missile :thumb  I'm actually finishing up this project, just did a little parts swap with botcon huffer and some touch ups with armorhide, a cyb lugnutz is becoming wheelie, and I'm about to turn my real gear longview into cosmos. for the rest of the minibots, you can click my sig and just go to the folder that says "classics minibots" and then view all because there's two pages of them. I've done/planned all of them except for hubcap, and didn't to bumblebee or cliffjumper because they already got the classics treatment.

So glad you guys gave me your time, with such great feed back. I Was really sweating, putting my first repaint up for critism. Yes this mold has some really funky arm joints, I may come back to this problem when I get enough skill to start trying my hands in kitbashing. Thanks for the great lists of molds, which could be made, into some really cool Mini-Bots. I really like the Powerglide idea, he has been bothering me the most. Now if I could just figure out a mold for Cosmos. Thanks guys :)

Wow, honestly I have not seen any of your minibot customs but some of the ones you have there are ones that I would think of doing (see my list above). They all look really nice. I knew Skyshadow would make for a good Powerglide and your custom really affirms that.

thanks, I love the little guys. I've done a thread about each one, labeled "minibot project" and then had the name and which in my series it was. only about half of them were original, IMO, in that I hadn't seen any of the series three bots ever done (swerve, outback, etc) nor a gears or warpath, and soon, wheelie.

I had to give you your props, Its such a cool, and fun idea, making these Mini-Bots. They are relatively not expensive, and you get a chance to learn and practice skills on them. I checked your folder, and really like that Powerglide, and Beachcomber. The idea for Cosmos is off the hook. Hubcap is such a cool character, he removes dead robots off the battlefiled for spare parts. Just a shame he looks so much like Cliffjumper and Bumblebee. I must figure out a way to incorporate him into my collection.

a couple of people have also done the botcon exclusive glyph repaint of bumblebee. it's such a cool color, that's the one classics bb repaint that I'm actually interested in doing.

This is very cool. It'd probably be even better if you could mod the head a bit, but it works well enough as is. Excellent paintjob. Making a bunch of Scout class minibots is definitely a cool idea, even though most of the ones I'm working on are going to be Deluxes and fit in with BB and CJ...

Not bad, I like it. One question, is there any way to get this figure's arms to not be so bad? That's my only complaint about the figure. I'd want to use it for a classics Brawn myself but the arms are so bad I can't justify it.

Do you have any links to that one. I love some of the Botcons, but they are so over priced.
