I love this figure. The new haed and the use of Infernos hands and not Grapples fixed hands and the spot on blue deco with the hot spot decals are a true plus. I likely would have bought a staight repaint (classics whore that I am) but those little extras make it all the more appealing. I bought an extra tfc gear of war accessory kit to give this guy a ladder but may leave the water gun on.

Either way, looking forward to pairing him with his fire fighting brethren Inferno and Artfire.

 

Second best of Hasbro's upcoming releases (Grimlock being the first). In a sea of FoC garbage this will shine like a diamond on the shelves.

 

Wow, can't believe all the hate this guy is getting. All of these Asia exclusives are repaints, this ones no different. It's a good mold, and the paint deco is a great homage to the G1 figure in my opinion, although I totally agree it could have benefited from a latter to help set it apart from the other two characters sharing this mold.

I can understand the "combiner-that-doesn't-combine" viewpoint, but I might have just gotten used to it as a Stunticon/Menasor fan. The only Stunticon releases lately have been exclusive repaints except for the Prime figures, with no hint at a true gestalt.

P.S. Is the panels on his forearms stuck in place like Grapple, or can they rotate to free up the hands like inferno?

 

The more I look at it, the more I like it. Having never seen Inferno at retail here, I missed out on his mold the first time, and (almost) missed Grapple too. May snag this one.

As for the whole 'combiners-who-don't-combine,' I just look forward to having a solid representation of a character; very few of them are solely identified by being part of a Combiner in my mind, with maybe the exception of the Constructicons.

Looks fantastic. That blue is so pretty, and the headsculpt is great.

Although it is a damn shame this was released so long after Botcon Pyro, because man, that headsculpt would have been perfect for Pyro. Oh well.

He's the only one left that I really want. I already have a set of the deluxe figures.

 

It looks like Inferno's arms so they should be able to rotate.

I think I'll get one just to give his head to Botcon Pyro (after repainting it).

 

Out of all the "Asian exclusives," this is the one I want the most.

Personally I prefer non-combining classics versions of the old combiner-teams. That way their glorious robot modes don't have to be so compromised like the new Combaticons are.

My Universe2.0 Blades and Botcon Streetstar aka Streetwise will soon have their unit commander in their midst.. I'm so happy!

Might get two so I can give Botcon Pyro a new head.
