For everything that has been said and done about the live action Transformers movie, I cannot help but to begin to feel excited about the movie. VERY excited.

    Why?

    -----OUR------

Let me repeat, ----OUR---- HERO is going to come to life. Our legend. Our father figure. The ONE thing that means so much to us all.

Optimus Prime. Orion Pax. Optronix. The hero that inspired us all and has stayed with us for over 20 years.

I know that when I watch Optimus Prime first transform, when I hear that commanding, respectful, deep, awe-inspiring voice, I will become an 8 year-old child all over again.

A popcorn. A diet coke. OPTIMUS PRIME!

    It is the year 2007.

Believe it or not, some TF fans aren't all that fond of Optimus Prime.

...but I sure am! I'm excited about that aspect of the movie too, although for me, he's never really gone away.

Wow. I never realised the magnitude of this.

We're gonna see Optimus on the big screen for the first time in 20 years.

    BRING ON JULY!

That also makes it the first time ever in your lifetime, right? That should be even more exciting.

Up this early on the weekend? Must have been playing Soldier Blade... :)  Anyway.

I don't necessarily share the same enthusiasm over Prime, but, in this movie, I suspect I'll get the same feeling of awe at the first moment a character transforms, Prime or whomever it may be (and I don't mean seeing part of the transformation like we do in the trailer). That alone will be the sucked-you-into-the-movie point of elation for me. From that point on, I won't be blinking and the drool may be flowing due to my jaw dropping.

Yeah, "after all is said and done." I won't walk, I will run....to the movie theater that is! :D  It's about all the TFs to me, not just Op, but I know as soon as I see one transform and hear Peter Cullen's voice again after 20 years on the big screen that I will be a kid again. And that's why I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy the movie in spite of everything. TFs are going to be on the big screen again and that is something to celebrate!

I think the first transformation we're gonna see is Blackout at the army base.
I know I'll some serious mofo goosebumps when it happens.
My wife and my friends are laughing about how geeked up I am over this movie.

As much as I love the other designs and characters in this movie, Prime IS one of the main reasons I am going to see it. He has always been my favorite character, and seeing him as a "real" character will be an entirely different experience for me. And the design looks so great that I already know I will love it.

Bumblebee, Jazz, Blackout, Megatron... Those guys are bonuses to me, not the main draw that Prime is right now.

seeing those giant machines transforming on the big screen is going to drop everyone's jaw, i think. i even expect that the SFX in this film will be so incredible and groundbreaking that it might even earn some Oscar nods for effects. and when we first see Blackout's rotor fold back, all the hairs on all of our necks are going to stand straight up. im so excited.

Yeah. And the new guy sucks. Pity, I loved "My Hero".
As for the movie... I can't WAIT. I'm a big fan of the new designs, and the thought of Peter Cullen's voice coming out of that Prime... Oh HELL yes.
