My approval on him goes up when he's not written as the next Prime. XD Honestly, I would have loved to see him used the way he was originall intended in Animated. Namely, bein' what Sentinel Prime is now.
Coolhand...thinks comic...is good...must remember to breathe... Thanks for the praise mate, Out Of The Dead Land was one of the inspirations behind this. Don't worry, there is a lot more to come Is it in Headmasters when Cybertron explodes and Rodimus' solution is to run away and turn over command to some newcomer? What a pillock It's always great to have established authors comment on this story. Thanks for the praise Believe it or not, I like the animation model. As I also said, I like Polenicus' version of the character. It is possible for me to like Hot Rod, it just takes a little work
What about Chromedome? Arcee become his frickin' secretary. Talk about robot chauvinism. Well, there was the time he decided to get infected with a hate plague. That stopped him being responsible for a while No-one runs as rapidly as Rodimus To break up the Rodimus-bashing (as fun as it is), I thought we'd try a little something. I call it...an update.
How did I miss these updates? Great story, and you tell it so well! I love the pun on Animus Prime, and the fact you've introduced a new Prime to the mix. The speech to the crowd was well executed, too. It gave a great sense of scale. This truly is the Autobot's darkest hour. My question is: where's the Matrix? Given Megatron's past obsession with it (at least in the G1 comics continuity), I'd have thought he'd taken it for himself.
Ah well, at the very least Prime's not the only one who screwed up big time (as well as most likely givin' the Autobots more reason to join up in the "Long live" chant. Havin' no world and all...)
There's a lot of tension between Starscream and Onslaught here. I wonder where this came from. Also makes you wonder just how long the Decepticon reign actually is going to last.
Yay comments! Thankyou for them I swear I'm at least 3 updates behind all of the comics I read - there's just so much talent on this forum it's hard to keep track of all of the great projects people come out with. I honestly feel humbled knowing people read and like my work. As for Animus Prime, I wondered if the name sounded too corny but at least one person seems to like it I love Optimus Prime, but I wanted to move away from him and try something different. The crowd scene...well to be honest I wasn't too happy with it. I've learnt so much about photography and comics in general in such a short time that I feel I could do much better next time round. The Matrix...ah yes. All will come clear with time. In my past creative projects I've rushed things and neglected to build up a decent narrative. I have awesome things in store for this comic, but they'll come when it feels right and not before Screw ups and resentment are omnipresent at the end of a war, and this one is no exception. As with all Decepticons, it comes down as to how good the leader is at keeping his minions on a leash. These are new and uncertain times for the Transformers and it's going to take some seriously strong leadership to keep everything together. Whilst writing this scene, I fell in love with Starscream. I know my interpretation of him is a little different from normal, but I think he's awesome. Expect great things from him You know how things are supposed to be trial and error? Well this glow went like this: try error error error error error *gnashes teeth in anger* error error error *leaves to make tea and rant to girlfriend about impossibilities of GIMP, then comes back* error SUCCESS! It took a while, but damn it is worth it. I'm just going to use it to accentuate emotion rather than have it is a constant effect I think. All credit goes to Polenicus and his amazing tutorial in the tutorial sticky. I just followed instructions. But yeah, it looks cool doesn't it? Thanks! doomboy's the name, and dark's my game
This, minus so much error, the tea, and girlfriend cry). I use it for emotion, and weaponry and effects, it's too much work to use all the time. No wonder Coolhand's comic takes so long to make.
Onslaught's a tough badass, and Starscream's an annoying twerp. Love the dialogue. Can't wait for more!
