Anyone remember this game on the original Xbox? It was a sleeper, but it had amazing visuals and a great main characters with insanely-cool dual blades. This is one I wish Sega would remake in HD.

I remember I rented it from Blockbuster, but the disc was pretty badly scratched.
I only go to the 2nd or 3rd level -but it was pretty cool and the visuals were crazy good for the time.

I only played the demo but I wish they'd make some more sequels on the new consoles. I'm a sucker for games that are steeped in mythology.

That was the other thing about it. Also it had some awesome destructible environments. Not sure if it's still the case, but I bought a used copy and tried to run it on my 360, but it wasn't compatible. little did I know then that my future fiance would come packaged with an original 360. I'm sure I can easily find another copy.

That game was weird as hell, if I recall the music was actually significant to it, not that there was anything actually wrong with the game, but because of the subtle atmosphere it had, it would put me to sleep. I recall a lot of super jumping involved in that too.

The game was amazing, but the sequel was better. The environmental destruction was so satisfying and the layers of special effects were glorious.

The optional boss fight with the Crimson King was a great tie to the first game, and the way the game as a whole handled the multiple playthroughs of various characters was great, especially in regards to getting the "good/true ending".

    It's a damn shame it's not compatible with 360.

Yeah, I forgot to mention the sequel, but it was equally amazing. I wish there was an easier way to play them both again.

i was a gamestop manager at the time and we couldnt keep it in stock. the whole staff was crazy about it and we talked it up to every customer. i like to think that i am, even if only in a tiny way, responsable for the games meager success

It's too bad that it wasn't actually successful :( . If I recall neither game sold really well.

Man, it almost makes me want to dust off my Xbox and boot it up. I never DID unlock every single outfit or weapon in 2...

I'd start a petition to Microsoft to make this 360 compatible. Literally one of the best Xbox games of all time that was severely underrated.

    But it sold well considering:

AUG 2003 XBX OTOGI: MYTH OF DEMONS $454,564 10,904
SEP 2003 XBX OTOGI: MYTH OF DEMONS $929,346 22,622

I want to play the old games and I'd like to see some new games in the same style.

As much as I'd love to see that, a petition is a lost cause and 100 people is a negligible amount. I don't think Microsoft has done any major updates to their compatibility listings in years either, have they?

Maybe in some bizarre twist of fate, we'll get a Sega HD Collection featuring Otogi 1 and Ogoti 2. It could happen.

    I hear you but:

A- we won't know unless we try...

B- if we aim for a 100 and get 1000, we may prove successful.

If you guys are on board please sign. Ill be promoting it everywhere else I post.

Even 1,000 signatures aren't enough to make Microsoft budge. A game like Otogi will most likely end up getting an XBL Arcade release before they upgrade their firmware to allow the 360 to play it.
