In Transformers: Cybertron, one of the coolest things was that there were other worlds that had been colonized by the Transformers, and each planet had a theme.

What if Prime had a similar approach? What if there are other worlds where certain episodes or story arcs could take place? It would be a great way to homage the Beast Wars, Headmasters, Cybertron, etc. Perhaps the Transformers are taking refuge amongst aliens whose vehicles look incredibly different from ours?

    What do you think?

Well, while despite being in the same "continuity", it's not got anything to do with Prime (WTF), but in the TF Exiles novel, they did travel to Velocitron and Junkion where they were followed by clouds that rained mcguffins.

You could argue that they were actually being lead there, so it wasn't like it was ridiculous luck that brought upon all the stuff they found.

I think going off world for a while would be cool in expanding the universe. We'd probably get some new characters with interesting alt-modes in the process.

Yup, since the books are at least supposed to be in the same continuity family, Velocitron and Junkion do exist as colonies of Cybertronians that left the home planet long ago and formed their own respective cultures.

Yep, they were being lead there, by the Matrix, but sadly wherever Optimus and the Autobots went, so did the Megs and the Cons...and they didn't leave those planets the same way they found them...if TFP does 'visit' those planets in an episode or two..I'd like for them to show the aftermath and perhaps give us the updates on who's left and if any other bots want to come to earth.

One of the reasons I did not enjoy the second book nearly as much as the first.

I guess but there were still too many Mcguffins. Spoilers!
There was the Starsaber fragments which turned out to really be a gateway into another dimension. Anyway, there was also the Cyber Caliber and the Requiem Blaster. Wasn't Nexus Prime himself nothing more than a living mcguffin?
That is only what I remember. I've only read it once.

    Highlight over the black.
Quote this post, see the "spoiler" tags? That's how you do it, now edit your post.

    Also
Optimus thought he was seeking the fragments to Prima's "Star Saber" sword, but they ended up being Vector Prime's "Blades of Time".

I really hope they do it well if they INSIST on travelling to other worlds. G1 season 3 got ridiculous with the otherworldly travel. If the characters didn't remain pretty good, I wouldn't have watched the show anymore. I hope Prime doesn't go down that road, it would lose a lot of the realism they say they're going for.
