hey, since Prime is a rank, will we get other primes? maybe in a later season Magnus, who has seen that Optimus has grown as a leader, sends inexperienced rookie and self-doubting Rodimus Prime to earth to learn from him, as he helped Sentinel to be a tad less of a pain. then he comes to earth, grows, and etc. it would be an interesting way to stick him in there, plus they can use his colors and desgin of flames as a way to give him a flamethrower powers/weapons. or Nemesis Prime, and... any other primes (i only know Rodimus)
Great idea. Rodimus Prime really works. Nemesis Prime will probably be a toy exclusive or regular repaint.

Nova Prime would be cool too! any prime, maybe Magnus can be yelling at someone, telling him about how he has disgraced the rank of prime, and mention great primes (names of other primes) in the past. could be cool

we completely forgot Vector Prime. They don't even have to change the design just convert him to the animated style. After all he can travel frely between space, time and dimensions.
Maybe along the same lines as Nova Prime's conversion into Nemisis Prime in IDW's Dead Universe, Sentinel Prime could fall to "The Dark Side" in the Animated universe. Sentinel certainly has already demonstrated a dislike not only for organics, but also what can only be intrpreted as a massive "Superiority Complex" to Optimus and his crew. I don't think that it's to far fetched that Sentinel may eventually fall from grace with Ultra Magnus, and that this rejection may drive him down a much darker path.
Rodimus Prime would be interesting, especially since Hasbro apparently can't use the name Hot Rod anymore. It'd be about time we got a Hot Rod[imus] toy that actually made sense to call Rodimus.
Isn't there a continuity that explains that a Decepticon is assigned to take out OP, crashes to Earth, and scans OP himself as an alt-mode, thus becoming Nemesis Prime? Am I getting this confused with RiD Scourge? Or did I just dream it? Hot Rodimus Prime should stay away from Animated. The only version of him that doesn't have me spitting blood is in the Dr Smoov cartoons. Who knows, TFA does have original characters and concepts (though us G1-nod-spotters can sometimes forget). Maybe we'll get some other Primes, maybe they will be entirely new, maybe we will see another character rise to the rank of Prime... Maybe we will see a character rise to the rank of Magnus... Iron Prime would be intense. Or Hound Magnus.
Since Ultra Magnus gets addressed as "Commander" (and I think he's been referred to as "Supreme Commander"), I don't think "Magnus" (or "Ultra") reflects a rank.
i'd like to see Sentinel getting disgraced by Ultra Magnus,ends up leaving and maybe getting captured by Megs , and gets reformatted into Nemesis Prime...
Just because he shares the name doesn't mean they have to share personality or even design. Just look at Sentinel Prime. The only parallels I can draw between him and previous Sentine/al Prime is the name and the fact that he holds a leadership position.
