Yahoo.com - Other Driver Cited in Shia LaBeouf Crash
all things considered, they came out of that pretty well. It must've been quite a shock.
an F-150 rolled twice? what the hell was Simon driving, a train?
Thats what I thought. F-150's aren't small little buzz boxes, they're solid arse trucks. He must have been doing a fair rate of knots and hit the F-150 somewhere that would affect it centre of gravity....or something.
Well, it's quite simple really.
It's good that Shia is okay but I really wish he had let a sober driver take him home. I hope he has no fault insurance on the truck.
If Shia was in the process of turning at the time of impact, the truck's equilibrium would have been altered. They tend to be little unstable given their taller height as well. I often feel like my mother's Dodge Durango could tip during a sharp turn. So factor in the other driver's speed and I can see how it would happen.
But if he was making a left turn wouldn't he be leaning into the crash?
Not necessarily. He wasn't leaning into the crash area, he was making a left turn into the other lane. Usually, you aren't traveling at a high rate of speed when making a turn like that, so factor that in with the speed at which the other guy had to be driving (whatever it may have been) and it's possible for this type of accident to occur.
So then the truck's equilibrium wouldn't have been altered.
It's a ford (A.k.A. a flipped over russan dunebuggy) of course it'll flip over.
