im stuck in a bit of a dilemma here.

I really like this guy alot, but MFT is releasing the FULL SET of 6 dx9 seekers in deluxe class size (the original trio and the coneheads). I kinda want to know if i should wait for MFT to maybe KO OS the whole set of iron factory figures, or wait for this company to make the whole set?

I would really like a complete set of seekers

 

I’d get them and any other car bots this size.

 

Anybody order one of these guys yet?

Got mine. He’s a solid deluxe size Starscream. I like him. No head with crown, cape or shoulder pieces. Does come with the stand though.

I was worried about the face since no pics have really shown a closeup and they all make it look smooshy but it’s a solid head sculpt.

For $25 and free shipping I’d say he’s worth it if you want a deluxe class Starscream with good articulation.

Now I can have him, classics Thundercracker and FOC Skywarp and each have their own unique look. Hope this company does the other seekers because id pick them up and maybe do a deluxe class IF War Giant team. Thatd make a nice combiner for CHUG collectors though I still wouldn’t replace my CW Bruticus

 

I also FINALLY received mine, and I'm very happy with him. He has a slight bit of the "OSed Legends" look in his alt mode, but still looks good and is great in robot mode.

One interesting feature that I'll snap a few photos of later is that there's a bit of adjustability to how tall he stands, depending on how you arrange the knees. At his tallest he can look the Generations Armada seeker mold in the eye, and at his shortest he's only half a head taller than Mech Planet/Hot Soldiers Soundboard, so we can fight for a few more pages over whether this guy should count as "Legends+" or not.

In any case, while I'd prefer for him to be slightly smaller, he's worth it for $25 shipped and I'm ready to buy him in several more decos if they make him in them.

 

Yeah I noticed the knees too. They’re not unlike how the power of the prime voyager starscreams work but without the piece that folds to lock the knees in.

As much as I love the classics seeker mold I can finally after 12 years start to see the fatigue some people have for it

 

There's a bunch of different legends class seekers that are coming - some as cheap as like $33 for 3 figures! If you've been fighting off buying legends class figures, good luck. When they are coming out this cheap, it's definitely hard to resist. They are up for preorder now in the usual places...

 

Well this isn’t even legends size really. It’s deluxe. If you’re wanting legends size, check the size of the mech fans toys ones or get the actual 3rd party ones because a lot of these KOs that companies are doing now are up scaling them. This guy is pretty big while I think the DX9 set that MTF is KOing is roughly the same scale as the originals. guys like MFT sixshot and whoever did that Overlord purposely made them a bit bigger to scale better with legends scale.

 

FWIW DX9's (and Pocket Toys') are about 9.5cm/3.74" while MFT's are 11cm/4.3" and are based on the G1 F-15 design.
Iron Factory's original is 10cm/3.93" while TVM's is usually listed as 13cm/5.12" and are loosely based on the G1 F-22 design.
These are LISTED heights; I need to take a tape measure to all of them, though the MFT versions are not out yet.

 

Im hoping for all these legends 3rd party stuff to be upsized. I would love that Black Zarak to be upsized to leader class to go with my fantoys Grant

Ironhide, Ratchet, the car brothers ect would be really nice to have in deluxe size

 

MFT needs to KO this mold as well someday...
