I still laugh and feel bad for him that of all his work, Transformers was his last.

Raul Julia's last major film was "Street Fighter",Imagine the Karma attached to that.

However, there's a sense in the film that Raoul enjoyed filming Street Fighter.
Welles didn't enjoy Transformers from all I've heard.

"Transformers 2007" reminds me of "Street Fighter".
The way the movie studio took the diehard fans for granted and delivered a lackluster story.
I wish I had the internet of today in 1994. I could have saved my money.

orson sounds like the brain in pinky and the brain
The Brain: Quiet Pinky, I'm getting ready for tomorrow night.
Pinky: Why? What are we going to do tomorrow night?
    The Brain: [Irritated] Guess!
Pinky: Oh, try to take over the world, right.

    Its the other way around.

The voice of Brain was intentionally made to sound like Orsen Welles. That voice actor alway does Orson Welles impressions for Tv/Film(Voice in Ed Wood dubbed over Vincent D;Onofrio)

Surprised they left out the bit about how they had to do a lot of processing to get rid of Welles' cat purring.

Needless to say, I must say I'm still IMPRESSED by this very famous man's presence in the Transformers (along with Leonard Kimoy, of course!)

Orson Welles was the one who actually SCARED everyone into fleeting from their homes with his parody of a Mars invasion on the radio in 1938, I think.:)

I love the War of the Worlds radio broadcast (got a copy of it on CD).

Knowing Orson hated the role, however, ruins my enjoyment of him in Transformers. I just don't care anymore. Now Robert Stack had a good attitude about it, and I think he is cool.

Orson Welles was too caught up in being Orson Welles. Whereas Stack loved to poke fun at himself (like Airplane and Baseketball). So Welles lost my respect for being a stuck-up. Oh, and Eliot Ness was way cooler than Charles Foster Kane.

They should just let Mr. Welles rest in peace. He didn't even like the the Transformers Movie. The same way Terri Garr doesn't like being reminded of her appearance in Star Trek.

I know its good he went out on a positive note. Yeah, I'm weird I really love that movie. I'm a huge MST3K fan if thats any help :)

I don't know History of the World Part 1 indicated a willingness to parody himself a bit.
