Ever since I got the E-Hobby Orion Pax I felt like he needed something. First I got the reprolables set and that satisfied me a little bit. One day I was looking at him and still couldn't get Kup out of my head and it hit me, he needed a "trailer" to more more like Prime.

This was scratch built using styrene then primed and painted. I maid some decals in photoshop to try and match the reprolables. I am not sure if I am going to clear coat this and if I should use a flat or gloss. Any comments or criticism is welcome.

It fits very snugly using the target master as its peg. I did not paint the bottom because I did not want paint rub.

And yes I know it looks like a "space mini van" :-D

What a great idea! I like it, and really "pulls" it off very well! Those stripes are wonderful. Cool stuff man!

9 million years ago, I'm sure he probably did have that Cab back then too!

Yeah, I really like how the alt mode doesn't look like a "Kup repaint" now. Great work on this :thumb

That is really cool. It looks like it was a part of the toy all along. I agree that it completely separates the figure from looking Kup like.
    Very awesome. :)

Now all you need is the custom head, if you don't have it already:

Nicely integrated! Makes the alt mode look really stream lined which is cool. I'd say give it a gloss coat to fit in with the rest of the material.

Awesome job. Still looking for an Orion Pax myself. Now it's going to feel oh so incomplete without a trailer mod!

I LOVE this! the stripes could do with looking a little neater on the trailer but other than that this is some amazing work.

Wow man! It looks like it's supposed to be there, so excellent job!!! I personally would probably give it a matte clear coat just to kind of seal it all in...you could probably paint the bottom of it, clear coat it, and then not have to worry about paint rubbing off so much.
You did a really good job of making Orion Pax sand out and away from the original Kup mold. Me Likes!

I have that head. It makes all the difference in the world.

If I didn't keep Orion in botmode, I'd have to give that a try!

Thank you very much, I think it came out looking pretty good. The decals where a bit tough to pull off but overall I think they came out good.

    I know right!

    Thank you!

Thank you, all told I probably did about 6 coats.

I would love that custom head! I think this will however be displayed in alt mode in my collection.

    :-D

    Thanks!

I am thinking gloss coat as well, I think I am going to sit on it for a few days before pulling the trigger. might do a couple touch ups on the stripes before that though.

It was hard to find him, I jumped on the wagon a little late in getting mine but they can be found. If you want a trailer for him let me know.

The size of the decal made it a pain to put them on and adjust. Water slide decals are not the easiest thing to work with but I think they came out a lot cleaner than if I tried to mask the ultra fine lines.

    Thank you!

I still am not completely sold either way on the clear coat, I think that I may still paint the bottom of it but I am worried about over spray on the sides. I think it turned out exactly how I saw it in my head.

Love when a plan comes together.

Where did that head come from?
