I'm thinking of scavenging a belt off one of my old TMNT figures for a custom project, but I'm a little vary about ruining otherwise complete old figures in good condition. I have Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Donatello (original versions without those crappy features or silly outfits) in great condition with all accessories, and Splinter with belt and robe (I'm probably taking his belt since it's the easiest to resculpt). Now I know that Turtles aren't anywhere near TF in popularity and rarity, but do you think I should keep them as is and try to find a loose belt somewhere?

Yeah, I noticed that they go for about $10 sealed so I think I can waste one or two without feeling too guilty...

Sentimental only. When the new TMNT series started, that would have been the best time for a classic TMNT price hike, but not even a blip.

I suspect tis because the new stuff was so similar to the old stuff, and the old wasn't that great to begin with. Cutomise away!

The low "worth" of stuff like that is too bad for people wanting to sell, but really good for those of us that would love to go back and build up a collection of what we missed out on as a kid and what not. I hope they stay within a reasonable price range for at least a few more years personally.
