Hey guys. I never noticed this before, but i put on some headphones to listen to the trailer again tonight. If you listen CLOSELY, when Blackout is first transforming, you can actually HEAR the original transformation sound mixed with the gears and such. This is not a fluke. Listen closely and you WILL hear it.

There are 3 inflections. I suppose they cut it short because it would give away the surprise. But it's wondeful!!!

Keep in mind, you might not hear it through normal speakers. Try it with headphones on. Also, it's very very quick, so you'll only hear it for half a second.

Also, you can compare it to the original sound by going here--> http://www.geocities.com/prime357/Gestalt1.wav

Could this also be the "sound" they mention in the trailer. I think the transformation sound is going to be used as an angle more than I thought before. What do you guys think?

Heard it as well, and it's DEFINATELY a take on the G1 sound, just more 'realistic' (grindin gears as such, and a weird Wolverine claw-esque sound ontop of it that makes it a bit harder to hear).

I just gave it another go. I dont think they mixed in an original clip, but its possible they mimicked the tone, speed of a Transformation sound with their click clanks in one part.

"The Sound" they are referring to is the screeching. Thats Decepticon/Cybertronian language apparently. There is a part in the script where someone does something to get something and they get a recording of it.

It's amazing what people are convincing themselves of being in this trailer and how the power of suggestion makes others follow suit.

nope, the sound it's definitely there, at least 3 "non-fans" who did watch the cartoon in their childhoods, that watched the trailer at my request commented it to me without a single suggestion from me about it.

I could kind of hear it, but only for a split second at the very beginning of the transformation and very low in the mix. So low in fact, I might just be convincing myself that I'm hearing when its not really there.

That's exactly what I thought. Very quick and quiet, I think it's just a coincidence of noise that almost sounds like it.

I just let 4 people listen to it with headphones and they all were able to hear it. It's really quick, only 3 inflections as stated before, but you can definitely hear it.

A friend mentioned that he heard they would be using the sound we're all familiar with from the cartoon, but slightly modified, so this must be what I'm hearing.

Really looking foward to seeing/hearing a full transformation in the movie.

BTW, I'm not "tricking myself" into believing I heard something, I know what i heard. The same way I've shown nearly 100 people already that HotRod actually whispers the word "SHI-" in the animated movie that most people don't know about.

If you're curious, listen just as Kranix is being eaten by the Sharkticons. You can hear it being WHISPERED.

When you hear it, PM me. Want to know what you think.

Why is it so important if the sound is there or not ?

Well I heard the end of the original sound in the movie clip. I don't know if they actually used the sound or if the sound they did use just sounds a bit like the end of the original.

    1. We were told that the sound would be featured in the movie in some way.
    2. Fans are just like that, for some reason.

I did hear something that sounded like "Sh**" being whispered, but I dunno I would need to see the script to confirm it.

I've read the script. You won't find it in there. But you WILL hear it in the movie. Weird huh?
