My friend has all four original comics. The versions in color. They're in good condition and he'd like to know what they might be worth. all together. Thanks!
They are not the Archie comics. Something like first graphic.

In all seriousness, it depends on what printing we're talking about and what condition. The first printing of the first issue might be worth several hundred to over a thousand while the others might go for fifty to a hundred each, at least.

Unfortunately, you mentioned that they're in color, so I don't think they're worth much since they sound like later reprints. Pics would help. :(

Yea, depends on the comics printing. The first few issues were printed in oversize format, like magazine size I think, and would be black and white.

Its doubtful that the books your friend has are the "originals".

The originals were in Black and white....not color.

Its not Mirage Vol.1 fullstop, #2-4 have never been coloured in floppies and #1 wasen't until a couple of years ago.

Dude probably has Archie, maybe Mirage Vol.2.

My brother and I had reprints in trade paperback format in colour when we were younger - they were pretty cool

Ohhhhh. I see. I'll ask him and put up information about what issue number, and if they are Archie or not.

    Mnost likely right.

    Those are the reprints.....trade paperbacks.

Heres the first 3 issues of the book in its original format.

Mirage Studios' TMNT Volume 1 #1
Mirage Studios' TMNT Volume 1 #2
Mirage Studios' TMNT Volume 1 #3

Shit, I've got those four books; had them forever. I once considered selling them but decided against it as I still love them and I'm sure they're worth something, just not near close enough to the original prints.

I have originals, althougth my #1 is third print and #2 second.

The 6 oversized issues are proabably the most valuable things in my boxes, althougth I won't be inclined to get shot of my TMNT collection until a comprehensive set of reprints finally show up.

Going by completed eBay auctions, there's a demand, but not all of them go for a lot. Book II-IV can go low, around $3-7 (there are buyers, though). But Book I had three different auctions recently, where one went for $14, another for $29.95, and another for $45.

A set of all four First Comics volumes went for $61:

4 TMNT COLOR TRADE PAPERBACKS First Comics Ninja Turtle - eBay (item 260717395746 end time Jan-10-11 18:06:12 PST)

It seems to be getting some sort of activity for a while because all the reprint books appear to be out of print. Not only that, the comics that used to be viewable on the TMNT site is no longer up.

EDIT: I got another good look at that auction for all four books and it turns out the seller for that is Mirage Comics, which probably would explain why it got a high ending bid.
