I have this question that bugs me, At the end of Masterforce when all finished and before and during The Great Upgrade and the emerge of the Councils, where their any original Autobots and Decepticons from season 1-2 and 3 still alive and where they part of The Beast Wars era?

Didn't Prowl die in TF:TM? how is possible he came back, and making matters worst he was plunged in the Sun with The Mausoleum

 

He got better, apparently, and turned into a Lion. Don't think about it too hard, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

You know who else got better and turned into an animal that merged with Prowl and G1 Silverbolt? Ironhide.

 

You're assuming BW G1 is based solely on the cartoon when, in fact, it borrowed from the comics as well.

Beast Wars exists in a loose G1-amalgam universe. IDW's Beast Wars sidestories depict Unicron as a demigod, which Toon Unicron obviously wasn't. Plus, Primus is mentioned a lot in the BW cartoon and he was a comic character. Beast Machines used The Key to Vector Sigma, which is a toon thing.

 

Interestingly enough, Ironhide is dead in both continuities, at least assuming G2 comics count.

I'd assume whoever survived Headmasters is their too. Or whoever from G1 that was in the Universe Wrecker comics.

 

So Wheeljack, Perceptor, Prowl, Ironhide, Grimlock and Silverbolt are the only left from G1 Season 1 and, WOW they should of added Brawn to that list

 

I'm still having my doubts about Ironhide, Prowl & Wheeljack (especially since I'm pretty sure they had graves in that space thing along with Prime), but know knows.

 

Will they count when #81 is out? I understood them to say they are ignoring G2. Unless they mean the new comics will fit in between G1 and G2 somehow.

Anyway I find it fascinating that Hasbro apparently worked actual original characters in BW, even if it's not entirely explicit. This means I have to get a Magnaboss off eBay.

 

From what I heard from Simon Furman, what happened in G2 is not off the board, at least not completely.

Magnaboss' cementation as G1 Prowl, Silverbolt, and Ironhide only happened in the IDW Beast Wars Sourcebook I think, but they (IIRC) were among the first G1-name reuses in Beast Wars, other than Scorponok.

 

There are 2 Prowls as if we weren't confused enough already.

Is Iguanus the same guy from G1? Given his love of lizards and his shell, it seems a logical progression.

Does Device Label Tigatron count as G1? If so, would that make him a survivor?

Off the record, had BW continued, Dirge and Ramjet were going to turn up.

From the Botcon and Wreckers comics, we had the following:

Bumblebee
Ratchet
Hot Rod
Arcee
Skywarp AND Cyclonus (I know!)

I personally would love to think Robotmasters/G1 Wingstun is Waspinator. They've shared a mold, sported similar colour schemes and both served BW Megatron.
