F**king AWESOME Star Wars news!!!
Ya happy now?! You whined and whined and they actually gave in. Now for the love of the Force, shut up about it!
That's good to hear. But for those of us who don't give a flying fornication about the originals and just want whatever technology crammed Lucas-waxed version is the latest... where's my Star Wars 6-pack?
Um, except that it was always Episode IV: A New Hope? How can they get that wrong on their own website?
I like the new versions just fine, but this is still cool. I'm sorta glad I didn't buy the box, since now I can get both versions together.
The Happy Ewok Music is back!
I love the DVD version of the new ending music, but it's just not Return of the Jedi without the Happy Ewok Music.
Nope sorry! Originally it was just called Star Wars: A new hope. The Episode IV part of the subtitle was added later.
I'm not even an ubber Star Wars geek and I know that.
Well I'm definatly going to pick up Empire and maybe ANH but Empire for sure.
No. Originally it was just called Star Wars. My father had a bootleg tape of the film back in 1977, so I saw that original version many, many, many times. "A New Hope" was a total suprise to me when I saw it on cable around the time Jedi came out.
About. Fucking. Time.
Somehow I have only just now discovered that there were changes made to the movie before the 1990s "Special Edition". Then again, the 1977 release and 1978 rerelease both happened before I was born. Apparently it's been Episode IV starting as of 1981. Interesting.
I knew it'd happen eventually since they want the most amount of money from this but im surprised it happened so soon. It's good news though.
Come on human Jabba!
Cool. Some of the changes to Empire were really stupid.
Now that's some good news. I'll definately be picking this up.
I swore that I would give Lucas no more of my money until LucasArts gets back into shape....
I may now have to break that
Sounds good, but I already have the trilogy on good, old-fashioned VHS.
Well then, as I just learned, you don't have the trilogy as originally shown in theatres
Goose Bumps, that's all I have to say.
Than and now I can ditch my DVD's that were converted from the Laser Disc versions.
I can now end my ban of the "original trilogy" dvd sets. I will gladly pick these up.
