    And it's pretty interesting for those who haven't seen it before, and were wondering what the patent process entails.

    The level of detail that goes into explaining the transformation process is staggering. That's a lot of legalese and a lot of patience on behalf of whoever wrote that.

    There were at least three different ways you could have accessed patents for G1 toys for years. Fred is listing one of them on his Patent Pages, uhm, page.

    Although I just noticed Megatron is not among them.

    And even if that's still news to a lot of people, this thread was just started yesterday. And I don't think we need a new thread for every single patent. :)

    I agree. Google Patent Search is nice, but most of the material has been available for a long time, just in a more confusing to navigate system. That Megatron may be news to people is fine, but I'd prefer if people would just post in the existing thread instead of posting new ones every time someone finds a new (old) patent.

    Closing thread, but by all means feel free to post this up in the other thread.
