Yep, doesn’t seem to effect playback though
I heard the fancy colored pressings don't tend to be flat, just wanted to see. On my parents nice turntable setup I doubt it would have any effect but on this shit quality, speaker built in turntable in my collection room it slows down. But ad long as it's common. still sad I didn't get the blue and red one though.
Nice detective work! I was wondering why there was a weird filter over the art, but they probably did it to blend all the different image sources and art styles together. Also, it seems to me they didn't replace Soundwave, they just redid his right arm and weapon?
I have a lot of picture discs, transparent ones and coloured vinyl. They are all flat. But there are some tricks to get warped records smooth again. But I would need to look them up, to be sure not to tell you the wrong method. Some methods might damage your vinyl if done wrong.
What part of the cover is "fan art"?
I think they should have just used the original art that is the main part of the cover myself, but I can see why someone might want Bumblebee on it.
Has anyone who ordered from Enjoy The Ride gotten a shipping notice yet?
To be fair, my tracking info from the other website is still on "shipping info received" for days now....
Yes. Got my tracking number yesterday.
The one I heard was you put the record between 2 flat pieces of glass and leave it in the sun for 30 min to an hour but keep checking it so it doesnt get too soft. Never tried it before.
The one I still remember was like that but with an oven. But I don't recall how many degrees and all that.
An oven ? That sounds scary.
Putting a record between two glass cutting boards for a few minutes in an oven heated at 190°F. I saw a few videos about this, but I'd be hesitant to try it.
Another method would be, put the vinyl on the turnie with the bent side to the bottom and a puck on top of it. Then use a hair dryer from 10cm away while the turntable is turning (play, but without setting the arm on the vinyl of course).
Yet another method that worked well and doesn't involve dangerous heat: Put it in the case to the other vinyls for a few days and the weight of all the other vinyls will make it straight again.
The weight thing will work for lightly warped records I imagine. But badly warped records will need some heat. Back in my thrift shop hunting days I used to buy some really bad records that I knew the outer tracks were un-fixable. I bought them to play the inner tracks. Often it was just about owning it on vinyl to be able to speed up or slow down the pitch and BPM for DJ mixing. It was never about having it to listen to the music as a fan. I had tapes and CDs for that.
I received my copy today... Heres a sampling for you guys!
Yeah cool, it definitely has the tracks on it, that I'm still regularly whistling. I'm just missing the S3 movie inspired music. My favorite score by far is the one that usually plays when Galvatron and/or Cyclonus, Scourge and the Sweeps attack someone. Or when Galvatron blasts Starscream for a second time mere seconds after he got his new body.
I have a theary about the change intro tune. I wonder if the rights are all clear and good for the music of over opening them, but the Vocals on the original opening have not been cleared for anything but video release. So the original vocal recording can't be sold on CD or Vinyl.
I got my shipping notice this morning, but I chose media mail. I wasn't real big on paying more for faster shipping after the surprise $6 price hike that morning.
If anyone wants to sell me the red and blue variant that would be much appreciated. Missed out on both preorders and it’s not on discogs yet.
