I'm thinking of finally hosting a shindig sometime soon. (Mid-Oct / Early Nov) - What's everyone's schedule looking like?

Dropped by the TF section at Fred Meyers on the way home, on a whim, and to my surprise they've got all TFs at half off! So I picked up the last chromedome they had for that good old late 90s $10 price and felt good about life. Shame they didn't have rewind, tho!

(Or voyager scorn xD they don't even stock anything larger than a deluxe anymore, here T___T)

Fridays and Saturdays are always good for me. Hard to get days off during the week right now as we're ramping up for peak season.

Just grabbed a Cosmos, one of him left plus the three Seasprays. Wish I'd managed to find Cosmos back when it cost less and had a targetmaster, but it's still nice of Has to to give it a reissue at all

The targetmaster was a plus, but for Cosmos himself, I definitely prefer this reissue. The head is made of red plastic this time, whereas the paint on the previous release chipped like you wouldn't believe.

I second this. The re-issue is superior. I have the first release and the top of the head is practically stripped of paint.

I haven't had paint problems with mine, but the Targetmaster isn't anyone notable nor adds anything than a disproportionately large gun. And the begrudging acceptance of paying the same for 2/3s of a package you could've gotten years ago. Same thing now with Skrapnel, it seems. Though for him I wish they'd give the Scout-class Insecticons a unified paint scheme. I really, really like Titans Return Kickback but have passed repeatedly on decent prices on Bombshell or Shrapnel because of the different shades of purple and chest colorings between each one.

Hey, has anyone here with Trypticon tried to fix a warped chest plate yet? Both sides of mine won't hold in place and instead of trying to build up the offending tab with floor polish or UV-glue, I'm tempted to try to heat the piece in the toaster oven or boiling water to try to unwarp it. Just curious if anyone else has tried it, had success, and which method they used.

I did. I used super glue to build up the tabs. I let it dry a little in place so that it'd adhere to the side wall and it worked out in the end.

I liked Cosmos' targetmaster because I attached it to HFTD Stratosphere as a serviceable replacement to the shuttle/gun he was SUPPOSED to come with...

For Trypticon, I did the boiling water bit and also tightened the screws around the chest area. It helped some, but it's still not nearly as solid as I would like. I may have to try the glue idea. Visited w/Tantrum this past weekend and the chest door on his Trypticon was super tight....I guess it's just the (un)luck of the draw?

Yeah, it's luck of the draw. I've also tightened the screw at the base of his tail so the ratchet catches better. I still need to do the same for his neck.
I overdid trying to loosen his hip joints and mine can only stand with tail support now. As soon as you pick him up, the legs flop around under their own weight.

I was satisfied with the ratchets on mine that I didn't touch them. The chest door was the only real offensive part for me.

Stopped by Target in Beaverton near the Kaiser Permanente clinic. If u want your Octone, Seaspray, and Cosmos, they r all there. I snagged the only Blitzwing. There were 4 Octones.
