Either you use a soldering iron to slowly heat up the head of the pin, or drill a hole from the back and tap out the pin that holds the wheel.

The latter is easier and less risky than the soldering iron technique. Good luck! ;)

Several sets have made it to people already, and the last current order has been sent out in the mail as of today!

I still have sets looking for new homes, so if you have yet to upgrade your Optimus Prime (s) this is a fine opportunity at this holiday pricing!

Seriously, grab the wheel and yank/twist it off, works everytime, then pop the pin out the wheel.

    I have never had damage

I just picked up 2 sets of the new clear ones and they are great. I have a set of the original black ones and I actually like these clear ones better. The translucent color of them helps more with the illusion of the tires where they need to be. I do not plan on painting either set.

These are nice and snug too, almost seem to lock into place when slid up all the way. I have attached a couple pics of the 2 sets installed on a Jetwing Prime as well as a LC Prime w/ FWI kit installed.

    Thanks Savio-Prime

I popped the wheel assemblies off my Prime, ran some water (in a coffee mug) thru the microwave on high for 6 minutes, after that I dropped the parts in the hot water for about a minute, then carefully, I removed the parts from the hot water & with a little pull, the wheels just popped right off.

Easy peasy. No risk of ruining the wheel or pin seat with the soldering iron (a method I used all the time when I was bashing)

Cool. Those were methods that Savio recommended.

oh yeah...like I said, I used the soldering iron method all the time when I was bashing Alts back in the day. Works like a charm. I also ruined some wheels too though....especially if I had a stubborn pin.

Once I saw how soft the grey plastic was on the factory Prime parts, I figured I'd give the hot water a try, the hot water idea is actually a page from the "Boil and Pop" method of bashing action figures (from my Sigma 6 days)

...plus, I was being lazy...I didn't feel like going out to my garage last night to retrieve my iron. :lol

So I recently ordered a set of these from Savio(eagerly awaiting!), and I have a question: Which direction does the pin connecting the part to the hip pull out? When pushing the pin out, do I push from the front toward the back, or back toward the front?

Thanks for the help on this. I'm super freaked out about doing this since it's being done on APS-01.
