    ** UPDATED FIRST PAGE **

    Greetings,

I've been working on this for a while and only recently started strolling in the Radicons forums to see some of the amazing work here.

I'm working on creating a transformable trailer for my Jetwing Prime. The plan at this moment is to model it in 3D and have Shapeways print it, then I can paint and assemble.

Here is the latest print, the pieces to assemble OP's cannon from DOTM. I plan on making this available soon for those interested. It will be available in my Shapeways store. Initial test assembly came out extremely good. All the hollowing out to keep costs down worked very well.

I've been following these as you've been designing them and I am very impressed. They came out great. How are they fitting together?

I'm planning to get those smokestacks since the bending of the rubber ones ruins the chrome foil I put on them. I'm also looking forward to all these weapons!

With what do you sand? I can't get any of the shapeways products smooth with any grain of sandpaper :(

Wait till you guys see the shield he is cooking up. Big Hache here and I have been going back and forth with ideas and designs, and I can assure you, based on what he has shown me, and revealed to the community, it's going to be perfect!

easy I can think of multiple alternatives...
    1.cover in superglue
    2.drill hole
    3.option 2 + 1
    4.option 2 + pin

and I could come up with more ;)

I'm interested in anything related to leader Optimus and this seems like it's going to be great!

Doubly interested because of the shapeways factor.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

For those interested, the swords will be available without markup until Saturday night. It's a thank you for the support on this site. :)

    @ dsn1014
Thanks! I'm going to work on sanding down the pegs some to get them to fit good in all the hilts. After that I'll dye them black and post more pics.

    @ hthrun
Yeah that's exactly why I modeled those. I also figured I wasn't the only one who didn't care about toy safety. :)

    @ knightwind12
FYI I will be modeling OP's gun as well. The one where he almost killed Shia by ejecting a giant shell on his head. Yeah that one. Hmm, I wonder if I should put a shell in it so we can recreate that scene.

    @ LimeWire
Awesome! Thanks for the support and I hope you enjoy!

    @ iDD
I've been using Model Master Hobby Sanding Films and I've also tried sanding paper I got from a computer heat sink lapping kit (which is no longer available) that has grit as small as 10 micron. No, I have not gotten the bare surface of WSF smooth. What I've had to do is sand, paint, saind, paint, sand, paint. I'd love to get stuff polished but I doubt I could ever get a tight fit with parts.

    @ G60Force
    Cool!

    @ vm-01
    Thanks! Glad you like.

I should be able to order the shield this weekend. It has proven to be quite the design challenge but I think it's going to be BA. I just have a few more items to engineer on it. I'll also be offering two versions: one for the standard hands and one for Fakebusker's hands, which if you don't have you are missing out.

LOL thanks! Glad to hear my stuff is well received.

I plan on doing that tomorrow. I just dyed them black tonight and Optimus is in pieces ATM.

    Thanks!

I can open other materials but WSF is the only one I've been testing and right now the only I'd really recommend. On the swords it doesn't give me the option for polished so there must be somewhere in the model that falls out of spec for polishing. Likewise FD is available but FUD is not. Let me know what you'd be interested in and I can open it up. Bear in mind FD is +$40 and Trans Detail is almost $50.

YES! Shield is almost done modeling. Feel free to check my fan art thread for WIP renders until I have prints in hand.

Sorry didn't get this up yesterday. Put OP back together and now he's armed with goodness...

Pic shows two different hilts. I will create a new product that just has the hilt for the standard hands and I will mod that hilt so the standard hands hold the sword like a sword.

I modeled these blades near in size to what the Revoltech set has, but comparing to the movie they look too long. What do you guys think?
