Upon rewatch, I found myself giggling at the way he held his chest plates/windows like it was the front of a sport jacket as he said the rabbi line.

 

I think that Letterman was quite mean to OP and even mocking him. And yes, he screwed up the "Good luck getting a cab" thing.

You do know that is usually the point of the top 10 when Dave has a guest read them. Often it is designed as a mini-roast where the person says top 10 items that are embarrassing. It is usually done in good fun as the person reading them is aware of the self-deprecating humor.

Seeing your childhood hero 'humiliated' is a bit of an over-reaction really.

Dave has a young son. I'm sure he knows damn well who optimus prime is.

 

For me it had some weird points - did anyone else notice Cullen didn't change inflection or tone at all? Not nearly Ben Stein monotone, but still really flat. And I don't like it when I can tell the difference between film stock...it just looks really off to me.

And the jokes weren't that funny.

Yes! Like many others on this thread, I thought the CG was great. Someone else wondered about his voice, they could have used the same recording/sounds used in the Have Optimus Prime call you, from TF1, maybe Peter Cullen didn't have to read these at all. Guess we'll have to see if he talks about it on Facebook or other threads elsewhere.

Yep, noticed that too, just went to cbs.com, David Letterman,top ten. It's there, CBS didn't want us to see it here, so they pulled it. Hopefully you can pull it up thru CBS' website. Good luck.
