What was your favorite moment between Optimus and Sentinel?
Like them all.
where is the "I like them all" option?
Tough between the outskirts and the reflecting pool. The former was just so noble and makes you love those two titans even more. And it makes the next scene that much more hard to take. I eventually voted for the reflecting pool because it was heart wrenching. Sentinel basically pulls a Sparkplug from the Ultimate Doom and says "when next we meet, I'm kicking your ass as enemies."
The outskirts. It was a really beautiful scene that showcased Sentinel's admiration for Earth's, Optimus' respect for Sentinel and overall, it was just a good display of their relationship of mentor and student.
It's saddening that after this beautiful, contemplative scene, they next meet after he betrayed the Autobots.
This was tough, since I love the scene where Optimus offers him the Matrix, but their fight dialogue was so great. But that fight dialogue wouldn't have been great if we didn't see the scene where they were still firends.
Every interaction between Optimus and Sentinel was awesomely done in this movie. Voted for the "Offering of the Matrix" scene, though, even though I really like them all.
They were all well done.
I loved the part when Optimus offers Sentinel the matrix. It was nice to see two Transformers having a touching moment.
Tough one between the outskirts scene and the reflecting pool. I chose reflecting pool because it's the very next confrontation Optimus and Sentinel have after the Matrix scene. Imagine you have a best friend who has seen it all and done it all, saving the world right beside you for years on end. One evening you talk to him/her offering them leadership, they decline but honor you as they do so. The very next time you guys meet, he/she threatens to kill you unless you join her in him/her's evil plot while all hell is breaking loose, a destructive army floods the world to destroy it, and it's all thanks to him/her.
Why people thought Optimus was a "murderous monster" is beyond me. I would go ape shit after that kind of betrayal.
This is also why I don't get people who treat DOTM like ROTF in saying it had no story when clearly it was a "betrayal and kill the betrayer" story.
I wish Optimus was there when Sentinel shot Ironhide, his facial reaction would have been priceless.
finaly batle defintly .
Definitely all of them.
But if I had to narrow it down to one, it'd be the National Mall confrontation. The dialogue, the body motions, everything about it was just great. I remember seeing that scene during the midnight showing and thinking "Holy s**t! This is like, the most emotional interactive robot scene in the entire trilogy!"
Definitely the scene where Sentinel and Optimus drive out in the outskirts admiring the beauty of Earth. Sentinel's theme music was so noble that you wouldn't even think he would have such ulterior motives. The delievery by both Leonard Nimoy and Peter Cullen were so well done.
Oh man all of sentinels scenes were great, But I absolutely loved when Sentinel spared Optimus in DC after opening the space bridge
It's hard to pick one, but if I did, it would probably have to be the Reflecting Pool scene, and then the final fight stuff.
