Heres a piece I made recently. It was more of an experiment, with using different passes and combining them in photoshop. :)

I like the design a lot but think a better posture would improve it as the persepctive seems a little off. I really like the detail and adore the purple tint for the windows, it works really, really well :)

    Thanks for the comments. :)

The pose and perspective were done like that on purpose to create something dynamic and different from my previous 3d renders of this Optimus model. :)

Perspective can't be off, it was generated by a 3D software.

True, although I think it might be worth messing with the lens aperture and stuff like that.

This is really a brilliant piece. Fantastic work!! I'm very impressed. I'd love to learn more about how you achieved this look.

    That is awesome!

I always liked the Classics Prime design, and the weapons look great, and the Autobot symbol on the axe just made it better. Great job :thumb

Dang, every time I look at this, it just keeps looking better than some of your other work. I mentioned this on the deviantART page, but putting battle damage on him is the only thing that could ever make this look even better than it already is.

HIDE ALL THE PINK CADILLACS! :p

Lol, didn't notice that until now, haha.

Thanks Primus. Its mostly to do with rendering out the elements of the render in separate passes. In XSI, I can render out reflections, shadows, highlights, ect all as a separate render. This way, I can alter each element to my liking, render them out, and then combine in photoshop, with alot of editing and layer work. :)

I'm actually working on looking at releasing the weapons on my own. Theres an old thread in the main Radicons forum showing the progress. :)

    Thanks dude! :)
