    Hi @ all,

    I am modeling Optimus Prime this is my first time that i model a Transformer or a Character, and would like to model more of and later maybe animate them ;) 

    Software is 3ds max 7
    and my only Reference is a Wallpaper from this Site here

    Thanks, iam going to make it like on my wallpaper and there aren't any wheels but i was thinking about to make some because it looks better i think.

    legs seem a bit stout, but some nice detailing.

    Ebay:
    the upper leg looks too big to telescope down to the lower leg, but all in all, so far so good

    @ Star_Cracker : I don't think they are too stout because in the Ref. Picture they look similar. But one problem i have there, the exhaust pipes they have some holes but i don't know if i should Boolean them? (because there are so many)

    @ DON : They aren't too big ;)

    And here's something to keep in mind. From the ground up, the knee should be 2 heads tall, and from there to the waist, another two heads up.

    @ Star_Cracker : Dou you mean put them up 2 heads or stretch resize them bigger?

    I've putted them up now, Hands modeled but not the same as on the Reference Picture, I thought i give him more robotic look hands :D 

    (Has anybody a Side Picture from his Weapon?)

    scale them up in the Y-axis. X- and Z- axes look fine.

    What do you think Star, maybe so? But i think now are the downer legs too small hehe

    Did you scale them up in the y-axis only? It looks like you scaled them in X- and Z- axes as well.

    Oh i thought i should scale them in X and Z axis too because of your post, only in the y axis?
