Well, OP has the hard job of telling some interesting story while giving background on the Unicron miniseries.
It succeeds at the latter, at least.
I won't miss this series, it's the Costa ongoing of Phase 2.

It's hard to imagine that I pine for the days when the comics had a rather grounded, small-scale story set on Earth with few characters.

It's just that every time I see that group of colonists I want to close the book and give up IDW for good.
There are dozens, if not hundreds of characters more interesting than Aileron or any random colonist.

It's essentially an interlude issue, tidying up a few loose ends from The Falling and then leading into both the main Unicron mini and the tie-in story focusing on the colonists which is running in OP #23-24.

    Nothing mind-blowing, but still enjoyable.

I gotta admit, I laughed when Shockwave started going on a VERY RELEVANT exposition dump only to be cut off and told to shut up.

I found this summary on another site:

Most of it is seeing Unicron #0 from other people's POV.
We see Velocitron fall, and Cliffjumper die.
We see how Rom and Stardrive feel Elonia fall.
We get some Jazz and Rom interaction on Earth.
Shockwave reveals that the "Maximals" are his most loyal Eukarian followers that he took to a planet near Unicron's black star and they mutated there.
Slug and Trypticon have a sweet heart to heart.
Detritus wears Wreck-gars (still-living) head as a necklace to carry him around.
SLIDE STILL HATES OPTIMUS but seems like they're finally going to do something about it.
"Rhinox" shows up at Starscream's home in the dead titan to summon him to meet his master.
Arcee and Alieron get cozy in one panel.

    Ugh. What’s her reasoning now?!

Well, looks like they are going to continue on with it.

That's mostly accurate, but you don't "see Unicron #0 from other people's POVs" at all.

The first thirteen pages are set before Unicron #0, culminating in Rom going to Cybertron to board the Ark-Zero before it sets out for Elonia, and then it immediately cuts to the aftermath of Unicron #0, with Rom getting sad about Elonia's destruction.

    This is good content

    Also, haha Grimlock got replaced.

Y'know for some dumb reason I never really thought about how the Dinobots ended up shacking up in a giant Dino. But I love it.

Also I hope if any Titan makes it out its Tryp, I love Metroplex but Tryp is busy being a good parent to all the youngins

The final straw is "Optimus let their homeworlds just keel over and die (but he was able to save the Elonians just fine.)" Like, Divisun only got what - hundreds of survivors at most? While conversely a very large chunk of Elonia's population made it out.

Her anger is getting the better of her. Hopefully Jazz can talk(or maybe knock) some sense into her.

Cause this situation was far out of Optimus’ control.

I can only see a futile effort to do anything and die unceremoniously, or if the future Unicron issues are anything,
    lead to Earth's doom.

And yet somehow still exponentially a better piece of work than costa everything.

Don't get me wrong. The OP ongoing has been "okay." Trying to serve too many masters as it were to focus on a good narrative. But lol. It's hardly awful (it's not awful. It's solid).

It's a post originally from /co/. I made it, matter of fact.

You're right, that was poor phrasing on my part, plus the exact timeline of Unicron #0 was a bit fuzzy in my head. Like you said, this is more of "what happened in and around Unicron 0" than a straight retelling from another POV.

I might have made it sound more intimate than it really is. They're close, but it's not like spooning or anything.
