Onyx Prime sharing Deathsaurus' body makes it all the more clearer why Hasbro desperately wanted "Deathsaurus" to win the poll.

But people are still gonna say it was rigged for Optimus Primal, hey?

Ah, my apologies. Yeah, I totally see where you're coming from. I remember a few posters being disgruntled over the wild card part too.

And for the record in regards to my own previous post, I did vote for Primal.

Hound was my real choice though. :(

Regardless of the vote I would hope a deathsaurus toy is made anyway.

Ramondelli may have chosen to give him Deathsaurus's colours, but they're not exactly sharing the same body when Onyx still has his four legs--"Unknown Evil" didn't have those, and that's another reason I really doubt this idea that it was anyone other than Deathsaurus (especially with how they're implementing the 13 Primes into PotP as Titan Master/Pretender hybrids).

I have no doubt that Deathsaurus was what they were aiming for as a toy, but the many similarities between the two designs plus Power of the Primes' gimmick of putting Titanmasters representing the 13 Primes into the Leader figures' Matrix would've made for a very easy link between the two characters and had the toy represent both at once.

I see where the resemblance is coming from - the upper body is pretty similar. The head has the horns/crest and four eyes, and the chest has the horns/antlers or whatever. And just at the bottom of the horns you can see animal ears. It probably will end up being a case of Deathsaurus being from Onyx's tribe, or that he remade himself in Onyx's image.

Hasbro said it was at botcon.
We don't know that, for all we know he was one vote behind, only Hasbro and maybe Takara and IDW have the raw numbers

If they get toys, one will likely be a retool of the other.

I hope this will be as much of a stand out issue as The Crucible was.

This is the first issue in quite a while that I'm very interested to see.

    Me too.

I am loving Kei Zama and Josh Burcham's work on this series. A definite treat for the eyes.

Same here! I'd loved to see a serious set in Cybertron's distant past.

If I remember correctly the power of the primes vote went something like this. Primal was first, unknown evil was second, ultra Magnus third with star saber coming in Last. So maybe the beasts were the forerunners for winning the vote. Just a theory mind you.
