Well to be honest, I'm surprised it took this long to get a thread made (I'd have done it myself, but didn't wanna take the possible thunder away from anyone because I already posted the Silverbolt topic), and with all bullshit aside, I think its safe to say that he's gonna get multiple votes from my hand. Yeah, I know that he's not exactly as much of wildcard like Swindle or Rattrap, but given that he was the leader, that's pretty natural. If anything, I'd argue that one of the main reasons for he's missed the boat so often is because we as the fans take his contributions for granted, be within the fiction or in the community.

Optimus Primal wasn't a mechanical Superman, nor was he even very animated by comparison to many on his team. He was simply the leader who did what he needed to be done (no matter the cost), and one who I honestly believe will appreciate through time as one of the greatest staples of our fandom.

Good to hear, as the votes of the future do indeed lie buried in the past. :)

    ... or present, I guess.

I completely forgot about him. Yes, he should be in HOF.

No he should not. He's different enough from other OPs to be his own character, but he's still derivative. Dinobot and Waspinator completely encapsulate the full scope of Beast Wars.

BW fans should be spending their energy trying to convince Hasbro to induct Bob Forward and Larry DiTillo into the HOF. They are the ones who truly deserve the credit for BW's success instead of just trying to shoehorn in everyone Mainframe ever animated.

Huh, I thought he (and Megs) were already in. So I guess he counts as separate from other Optimus Primes? Good for him.

I'd vote for him. Primal deserves to be in the Hall of Fame more than Tarantulas or any other candidate.

    He is, as is Waspinator.

That's as far as it goes for BW characters, IMO.

    But for Beast Wars creators....

    There's still PLENTY of room!

Bob & Larry NEED to be in the TF HOF.

    Optimus Primal does not.

    Sorry.

    YAY! =)

I will vote for him. Optimus Primal is one of my favorite characters because of his openness and warmth towards his crew. He isn't all-aspiring like Optimus Prime was. He was flawed, making mistakes, but he learned from such mistakes and became a better leader. He always has his heart in the right place, always trying to do the right thing no matter what.

He is the type of leader that anyone could open up to and trust.

Also, he is so huggable. =D

Yeah these are pretty much my thoughts on him. But for the other guys, by all means vote for them too. Anything to get BW a bit more recognition. I'm mainly sticking with Primal though.

Both Optimus Primal and our Megatron should had already been locked in IMO when they included Prime and that other Megatron.

I would think their actions are as great as what the other two did, greater perhaps even.
