I've got a grey Optimus Primal, which I'm thinking may be the one that came with Megatron. Does anyone know much about this version? Is it rare, as I can't seem to find anything on it or any examples of it elsewhere...

Ahh, so it was an original release, not a recolour?

Is it rare then? I can't seem to find any on shops or auctions sites...

It's a recolor in the sense that the Japanese release wasn't the same as the American release.

I wouldn't call it incredibly rare, just not something that shows up a lot. Probably $40-50 if it's complete, slightly more if it has a box.

If it came with Megatron then it is the TRU 10th anniversary reissue set and not the Japanese grey edition. The Japanese grey edition was a limited run within Japan. There are 2 other grey variations both from the Telemocha line, one was the deluxe and the other the ultra and both were sold individually. All the grey coloured editions were cartoon accurate colours, but the TRU and Telemocha reissues are more detailed than the original Japanese limited grey edition. These variants are the more sought after versions and if yours is loose, I'd say it should be at least $40. Can't really judge unless you give us some pics of the figure and maybe the box if you still have it.

So that was the one that came with Megatron?

Any idea on a rough value for this one? There's no box, unfortunately.

Definitely the TRU 10th anniversary version. He's quite pricy on eBay, or at least he was when I got mine. I don't even see any more on there.

EDIT: Regarding pricing, I paid about $80 for him and Megs, and neither was complete. Yours looks to be at least mostly complete but I've got no idea what they've been going for recently.

Same price as I quoted earlier.

And the TFU link I provided also had the information that could have told you it was the TRU one.

Yes, the TRU set had Megatron come with Optimus. Do you still have Megatron?

Knowing it's the TRU version, I'd say around $50 loose complete. I haven't seen many of these figures loose though, only MISB and they normally go for around $150-$200....I'm in the hunt for this set and it's a pain to track down.

Woohoo, got a Megatron with the lot and he's the TRU one as well (different head and detailed eyes). Also got all accessories so a complete set me thinks

Unless you really don't want them, you should hold onto these 2. They're the best representations of the cartoon. These are pretty htf in any condition and they were only released 6 yrs ago....

Funnily enough, I was going to sell them to help pay off for the collection I bought, but upon hearing that and looking at over them further I may well hold onto them
