lol thats cute!
Do I smell a lawsuit from Hasbro ?
Does Hasbro manufacture trucks?
meh, does it come in black? i don't like the color skem
The short answer is yes. http://www.hasbro.com/tonka/ I know what you're getting at, this is a completely different type of goods.
I dont believe Hasbro has the trademark for Optimus, mainly becasue there are companys using it as a name
But I thought that Hasbro still holds the right for the name : "Optimus"
yea it is probably optimus prime, as the trademark, which is why we've never seen just an optimus, or just one named as prime.
nope they hold the name for Optimus Prime, and Optimus Primal.
I've got an OPTIMUS radio, Hasbro hasn't done anything to them.
And trademarks only apply to specific fields. If you're named, say, "Steve McDonald", you could probably put out a book called "McDonald's Guide to Quantum Physics", as long as you avoid using the golden "M" logo. Opening a restaurant called "McDonald's Restaurant" would probably result in a lawsuit.
That's a cool homage.
Getting back to the actual truck, it's actually quite stylish. And it's a wonderful homage. I'd greenlight the thing for production just for the sake of having "Optimus" out on the road.
I would certainly feel safer knowing that Optimus was out on the road with me.
Right on !
I wonder if the top of the line model will be called the Prime....
I like that idea. That'd be neat.
#1. It's European, so Copyright and trademark laws will vary by country, and as severl peeps have pointed out, since it's a different industry, it doesn't matter that much
#2. it's a concept, and often concept vehicles change there names before going into production....
still, it's a neat find and a stylin' truck
I'm just waiting for someone to photoshop a red one into Optimus Prime.
Separate names with a comma.
