Well what if the Autonots don't leave because humans want them to but beause Optimus wants to?
In the trailor he seemed pretty pissed that the humans kept stuff from them
he could be mad that they are always helping the humans and they are always keeping stuff from them or asking them to leave then Optimus could just be fed up, I realize it is a bit out of character but even stoic heroes have their limit

    That would be stupid.

I mean, his character is based on being the last hope of all, leaving Earth would go DIRECTLY against what he's been doing since the creation of the Transformers Brand.

I think that if Humans become huge jerkasses, hostile and screw up badly, Optimus will give his middle finger to the government and the TF will become rogue agents, protecting humans without the help of the Government but never leave Earth [where would they go, anyway? Cybetron is dead].

Theyre probably leaving because the government wants them too, not because Optimus is pissed.

This. Besides he is mad at the government not the entire race.
He isn't the kind of guy that would leave humans to their deaths.

I'm pretty sure there was even a set video of a
mock CNN reporter, stating that congress passed legislation to exile the Autobots.

i agree, because keep in mind that in rotf, he told galloway " if you make that request, we will honor it" when he asked them to leave.

I didn't get the feeling that he was really pissed from the trailer. I mean..sure, he might be a bit angry that this is something incredibly stupid the humans withheld from him, but I think his foremost thought is that it will cost human lives, and he is genuinely concerned.

    I could be wrong.

Not going to get too excited about that clip, figured it's taken out of context anyway.

I hate how the humans in the bayverse havent learned that they cant fight the decepticons without the help of the autobots! I just cant comprehend it. Even if the decepticons posed as autobots and then cause chaos to create distrust, the humans should know that after years of fighting side by side, the autobots wouldnt just decide to kill humans out of nowhere. So if Optimus is pissed, I completely understand, but I doubt he'd abandon humanity.

I meant certain government officials, i should have clarified that. In ROTF we had that one guy whos name has escaped me right now, thinking that we could win with "Co ordinated military strategy blah blah blah". Now we hear US congress votes to exile autobots? Tell me that ISNT humans(okay maybe just politicians) being extremely dumb and arrogant about the decepticons. I should also add, im not up to date on comics or every rumor, so I may be misinformed.

I see your point now [and I agree].
But on mankind itself being dumb, not that much, I saw more THE GOVERNMENT being dumb, The Military was giving full support to the 'Bots [General Morshower told Galloway to shut up mid-way conversation if I recall well], it's to be expected that man's government would be a bit idiot when dealing with an ancient galactic war that landed in our lap, hell, we are dumb dealing with OUR OWN WARS.

[Shockwave Speech] Mankind fears the uknown, and with fear, comes the hate and illogical thinking, and they fall back to their primitive always, rellying on the most basic insticts of survival, becoming little more than mindless animals in two legs. this is particularly noticeable on the powerful members of the human species. [/Shockwave Speech].

I'm sure in real life the US government has a plan for aliens, but here isnt the place to discuss that. But Galloway just makes me :banghead:  everytime I re watch ROTF. I still cant wait to hear the insane reason for congress exiling the autobots, after all, didnt the reporter mention congress did it despite heavy international support for the autobots?

Plans for aliens? Perhaps, plans for giant transforming aliens who brought an ancient war to our door and refuse to share any techonology? Unlikely.

The Congress thing I don't remember [I remember the 'Bots being exiled, but not the Congress being responsable for it].

Besides, Galloway is an asshole, he was probably lying.
