Spoilers ahead if you havn't watched the season finale of Code Monkeys... Watching the Code Monkeys season finale here, and there's a scene where we see a flashback to ninjas kidnapping Benny, the little Korean kid that the manager, Larrity, keeps to test games. The ninjas jump out of the side of a grey trailer with a suspiciously familiar blue and white stripe, complete with the angle at the back end. Can't get a screencap, unfortunately (no way to do so).
Oh yeah. I watched that tonight and I know the scene your talking about. did'nt occur to me as a prime omage. But I guess since their 80's japanese that would be a diaclone convoy homage.
It was more of a bad dudes (I think that is the games name) than prime homage, but you never know the truck in the game way back when might have been a homage to prime too.
An '8-bit' cartoon on G4 about a bunch of video game programers in the '80s. It's humor is akin to South Park-esque stuff (raunchy/gore/asshattery) but with a strong amount of video game and computer geekiness and fanwank. It's an ok show and I'll catch the eps when there's nothing else on, but not something I personally make an effort to watch.
Yeah, I've seen episodes of this show too. And to be honest, it sucks. Then again, everything G4 airs is crap nowadays. They "fused" with TechTV only to kill it off and become a knockoff of Spike TV.
