Going by the trailer and the Trailer with the toys Optimus has two power up modes.

 

Maybe the larger wing scale will be what he uses to go to the moon? (If he goes to the moon)

 

I really hope the trailer doesn't do that in the film.

 

Agreed. I'm pretty sure the jetpack thing is Bay's alternate to the trailer combing toy. I don't see him doing both upgrades in the film.

The Jet pack and weapons is just a temporary thing. Discarded on landing. The trailer combination (Powermaster mode) if done in the film, and I cant see Bay resisting it, will be the grand finale for Prime.

Bay has to out do the previous effort and up the ante. Well JetPrime was far more impressive than Prime with Jetpack and mech tech weapons but Super Iron Butterfly Prime will be more impressive again. If only in the movie.

I'd say they're something the Einstein bot comes up with.

 

They're not, If you watch the trailer carefully you can actually see the Optimus flames on parts of it.

 

I'm thinking that mech tech does in fact play a role in this film.

 

i hope it dosent do that ether but something more epic!

it just looks like he has a giant ripped apart trailer on his back and that friggen sucks! i do hope he uses a power up suit to kill shockwave in the final battle.

my first though when i saw this on the main page was o god! prime has solar panels on his back WTF .

 

The gigantic wings on the toy don't look like the collapse down at ALL. Pretty bad if you ask me. The CGI powerup is epic, but the toy... not so much. I had high hopes for it, but just like every Supreme since Cybertron Starscream, it's a major letdown.

Me either. Those are clearly NOT Jetfire parts. The engines look completely different.
