I don't know about all of his armour looking parts, but to me, it looks like his shoulders are made from parts of the doors

 

Why do people give a shit if there's cheating or not? These Transformations look cool and because they're so advanced I like to believe that's how these Transformations are possible.

 

Also Prime's doors, or part of them rather, are on his chest. Just fyi

Problem is before you could still see some of the logic of where what ended up and how they more or less came together. It was bullshit, but believable bullshit. Now it's just bullshit.   It's just switching stuff around and hiding it under a whirlwind of swirling parts. It's just not as interesting or clever as the original design was.

 

Okay someone explain to me why I can't see the "cheating". I saw the doors splitting apart in many sections while still being attached to the chest. Also, the whole front area rotates around reviling the chest and while that's happening, the door sections swing around to the front adding those bits of red sections on his chest (which includes some of the front truck parts).

You can clearly see the legs forming from the back wheels area as well as the actually backside of Optimus Prime.

I still like and appreciate the original Optimus Prime model from the first movie.

I really don't understand why you people think they have to stay solid, it's all dependent on their mass. How the fuck do you think they get the vehicle parts in the first place? Too many simple minded people.

 

I love how he slams his fists on the ground to heave himself up. Really shows how massive he is.

To all those screaming cheating, someone should take this vid and so a slow motion frame for frame vid and watch how all the parts split into many more smaller pieces and shift. It should be cool to see

just looked plain cool to me. .. if there was cheating, i certainly didn't notice it..

plus.. i always remember what was said on the dvd extras for the first movie.. that all of their bodies are comprised of nano molecular cells.

oh well. looks cool. and it looks pretty involved. i wonder if they'll show him transforming quickly.. hell, i can't remember a time when prime transformed as quick as sentinel had in dotm.

 

float? i don't see any floating.. i do see them rising up then splaying across his shoulders. but i don't see floating. remember, they're made up of small nano molecular robotic cells which allow parts to move across them easily.

it looks like there is a part of the pad that always rides along the body and never detaches.

 

Not this in the slightest.

Wasn't on about that aspect at all - look at the door. 1st image the arm is on the right side of the door, coming out from where the passenger seat would be. Second image the arm is on the left side of the door. The door doesn't segment or alter itself until after that scene - the arm just passes through the door during the Transformation, hidden mostly by the angles.



I know cheating is not new, it was just more noticeable here as the doors and arm were the focus point and centre screen.

you might want to watch it again, or just look at the image you posted yourself... the door opens (backwards, like a suicide door) first, the arm extends, and then the door closes. You can even see the open door in the image you posted.
